My Perfect Omega - Chapter 134
Lucas quickly supported the Crown Prince’s words in his defense.
“His Highness is correct.”
“So, what is it you wanted to say?”
The Emperor, who had been observing quietly, couldn’t hold back his curiosity any longer. He figured that Lucas wouldn’t call them for anything trivial, but he couldn’t fathom what the significant matter could be, which frustrated him.
“Well, truthfully…”
Lucas found himself unable to continue immediately.
It was partly due to the three pairs of eyes watching him intently, the courtiers eavesdropping though they couldn’t be seen, and honestly, he didn’t want to disclose this information.
He wanted to keep the good news to himself, but for various reasons, including the wedding, he had to tell the Emperor and the Pope. Although he hadn’t called the Crown Prince, it was better he heard it now rather than later, avoiding any unnecessary complications.
“What could it be that makes you hesitate so much?”
The Crown Prince also felt increasingly curious. Lucas, who was usually confident and straightforward, was now hesitating and embarrassed, which intrigued him even more. He wanted to push Lucas to speak but maintained his composure as an older brother.
The four men remained silent for a moment before Lucas finally spoke.
“I would like to postpone the wedding to the spring of the following year.”
“…Why?”
The Emperor instinctively knew the reason but wanted to hear it directly from Lucas.
“…Your Majesty, Your Holiness.”
Lucas, about to explain, paused as he realized something. Wasn’t the original decision to have a spring wedding made to wish for the prosperity of their lineage? But now they were expecting a child already. What was the point of delaying the wedding?
Feeling a sudden sense of frustration, Lucas’s voice trembled as he continued.
“Is it really true that having the wedding in spring will help us have many children?”
“Pardon?”
The Pope, taken aback by the unexpected question, looked surprised, and the Emperor jumped up from his seat. He immediately understood why Lucas was here and why he wanted to delay the wedding.
“Haha!”
The Emperor spread his arms wide and rushed to hug Lucas.
“Well done! Very well done!”
Lucas found himself being roughly patted on the back by the Emperor’s strong hands, causing his body to shake. The delicate teacup in front of him, decorated with intricate floral patterns, wobbled and spilled some tea.
The Crown Prince and the Pope still looked puzzled. Lucas then explained to them.
“Leila is pregnant… She absolutely cannot overexert herself.”
At his words, the Crown Prince also stood up, and the Pope immediately clasped his hands in prayer, giving thanks to God in a voice filled with emotion. The union of a hyper-dominant alpha and omega was already extraordinary, and the timing of the conception seemed equally miraculous to the Pope.
“To conceive in the season when all life is dormant… This child is destined to be born with strong energy.”
Hearing the Pope’s prayer made Lucas regret listening to the Emperor and the Pope. Despite his respect and trust in them, he couldn’t help but feel they appeared somewhat like charlatans.
“It will surely be a hyper-dominant child! That’s why they were conceived in winter!”
“His Majesty and His Holiness are right! This means I’ll have a niece or nephew soon!”
Despite the Emperor and Crown Prince’s excited exclamations, no one thought to intervene. Lucas was left speechless, wanting nothing more than to return to Leila. He wished to kiss her while she slept and recount every ridiculous detail of the day’s events.
