My Perfect Omega - Chapter 142
Her words snapped Lucas back to his senses as if he had been struck.
As she said, they had devoted themselves to raising their child. Rosalie was precious to him, but she meant even more to Leila.
Having lived her entire life with people who were hardly like family, Leila cherished Rosalie dearly.
He gazed at his wife, who sat beside him, looking out at the scenery. Her expression seemed different from usual.
There was a faint trace of excitement and anticipation, like watercolor paint brushed gently on a canvas, which made his heart race too.
So, does this mean it’s just Leila and me for a while?
Though his daughter was precious to him, he couldn’t fully enjoy alone time with Leila while Rosalie was around, especially during intimate moments. They had even suppressed their heat and rut cycles with inhibitors.
His sadness quickly turned to joy. Lucas’s mind started racing. Should they go on a trip? If so, where would be a good place? Should they visit the villa he bought for Rosalie’s birthday last year? Or perhaps the island he received from the Emperor for his twentieth birthday?
The thought of traveling alone with his wife made Lucas’s heart beat faster with excitement. He gently took his wife’s hand and asked in a lowered voice.
“…Shall we go on a date first?”
At his suggestion, Leila turned away from the window. Her jewel-like eyes seemed to break into tiny pieces in the sunlight. He was still, and always, falling for her every day.
Her plump, cute lips curved into a soft smile.
“That sounds like a good idea.”
“Right?”
“Oh, the other day, the Marchioness Richter told me about a café. It’s on the outskirts of the capital’s new district. She said the scent of the tea there is wonderful. They have a variety of teas and you can see a beautiful sunset there.”
“Then, let’s go there.”
Without hesitation, Lucas answered and knocked on the window connected to the coachman, giving his order.
“To the new district.”
“Yes, sir!”
With the coachman’s booming reply, the carriage changed direction. As it swayed slightly, Lucas quickly wrapped his arm around Leila’s shoulders. Then, naturally, he lowered his head and gently nibbled on her cherry-like lips.
Their lips briefly parted and then rejoined, and they passionately intertwined their tongues until they reached the café.

The café they arrived at was as beautiful as the Marchioness Richter had described. The private space had one side that opened onto a balcony. Despite the heat, a cool breeze occasionally blew through as the two of them enjoyed the endless view of the connected buildings.
At the end of the view, a vast field stretched out endlessly. The sun was setting, painting the sky red from the edge of the lush green field.
The scent of Darjeeling tea wafted past their noses, subtly different from the tea they drank at home, reminding them they weren’t at home.
Lucas, inhaling the scent of his omega’s neck while she looked at the outside scenery in his arms, then sipped his Darjeeling tea. Although it wasn’t as fragrant as his omega’s scent, it was more pleasant than the Darjeeling tea at home.
“I can’t tell which is the Darjeeling.”
At his playful comment, Leila let out a small laugh. She brought her wrist to her nose and asked,
“Does my scent really resemble Darjeeling?”
“When it gets a bit stronger, it also resembles champagne aged with flower petals and sweet fruit.”
“Really?”
“Especially when you’re excited, that’s when you smell most like champagne.”
Leila unknowingly shivered at his suddenly lowered voice. Even with Rosalie around, they would share a bed whenever they felt like it. As their child grew, she became completely accustomed to him.
Just hearing his lust-filled voice was enough to make her wet.
“…Even now?”
Normally, she would scold him for saying such things, but her provocative question made Lucas’s eyes darken instantly.
Like a predator about to devour his prey, he slowly and teasingly scanned his wife’s eyes and neck before whispering sensually.
“Shall I confirm it for you?”
