My Perfect Omega - Chapter 149
“Why? Would you prefer it if I did?”
“…No, that’s not it.”
Lucas awkwardly ran a hand through his hair and added in a small voice,
“I’m probably the only man who gets jealous of his own parents.”
“…What?”
“Don’t you realize by now? My attachment to you is more intense than most people’s.”
Leila was momentarily speechless at Lucas’s candid admission. Of course, she had known during their years together, but every time he showed this side of himself, she felt happy rather than upset.
Attachment requires affection. Having been neglected by her family for so long, she was still starved for affection.
“It seems you don’t understand something either.”
“…What?”
“The depth of my deprivation.”
“Leila…”
Having reached the end of the garden, the two stood facing each other. She wrapped her arms around Lucas’s waist and tilted her head up to meet his eyes.
“Whether it’s because you’re an alpha and I’m an omega, or because you grew up with everything while I didn’t receive proper love—I don’t know the exact reason. But do you realize we are quite a well-matched couple?”
Lucas listened intently to his wife’s words, his eyes glistening. Along with her body warmth, he could smell the fresh scent of Darjeeling tea from her.
“I know you’re a bit obsessive, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, right? After all, you’re only obsessive with me. Or is there another woman I should know about?”
“What nonsense!”
“Then why worry? I actually welcome your attention. I hope you stay this way until the very end.”
At her affectionate and teasing words, Lucas could no longer hold back and pulled her into a tight embrace. He loved how her small frame fit perfectly in his arms. He loved her smooth black hair that tickled his cheek and her jewel-like eyes that sparkled more brightly than any gem in the sunlight.
He loved everything about her, from her pheromones to her soft voice, her artistic talent, and even her intimate moans and fluids.
In short, he loved everything from head to toe, from her physical form to her very soul.
The scent of the sea wafted to their noses from afar. With her head resting against his chest, Leila turned her face towards the sea. Although it was dark and she couldn’t see anything, the moonlit surface of the water was clearly visible.
The sound of waves crashing accompanied their passionate kiss. As if time had stopped, they focused solely on each other, free from any other concerns.

The next day, the two rode their horses to the beach without any attendants. Following a small path down from the mansion, Lucas and Leila dismounted upon reaching the shoreline.
“Wow…”
Seeing the sea for the first time, she approached it as if entranced. Lucas, sticking close to her side, watched her expressions intently, as if to commit them to memory.
“So this is the sea.”
Having expected to live in darkness her whole life, Leila was in awe of the breathtaking view.
“The color is emerald.”
“This spot is uniquely green.”
“Then aren’t all seas this color?”
“Usually, the sea is a deep blue. It’s beautiful in its own way. We should visit other seas next time.”
At his suggestion, Leila smiled brightly and nodded. Hand in hand, they strolled along the beach.
“At the far end, where the river meets the sea, there’s a spectacular view. Shall we go see it?”
“Yes, I want to go.”
Her curious eyes sparkled more brightly than the sunlit sea. Lucas led the way, pulling her by the hand.
Where the river met the sea, the water displayed a mysterious hue. The river was a dark blue, while the sea was emerald. The two distinct bodies of water collided with turbulent waves, creating a striking scene.
