My Perfect Omega - Chapter 152
As usual, Lucas was about to get out of the carriage first, but Leila stopped him. This time, she wanted to be the first to step out.
“Hmm?”
Lucas, sensing something unusual in her behavior, began to realize that something was off. For a place within the city, it was unusually quiet, with only the occasional sound of the wind.
“Close your eyes for a moment.”
Though confused, Lucas obediently closed his eyes as his wife instructed. He heard the carriage door open, and Leila giving instructions to the coachman. After several footsteps and the sound of the door opening again, he heard her voice.
“Hold my hand.”
With his eyes still closed, Lucas extended his arm. Even without seeing, following his omega’s pheromones was not difficult. Thinking about how Leila had lived most of her life in darkness made his heart ache.
The urge to find and tear apart the remaining members of the Este family surged within him.
“What’s wrong?”
His wife detected the discomfort in his pheromones. Had she gone too far by asking him to wait with his eyes closed?
“Are you upset because I made you wait? I tried to be quick…”
“What are you talking about? There’s no reason for me to be upset with you.”
“Then why did your pheromones…”
“Something unpleasant came to mind, that’s all. It has nothing to do with you. You’d never see me get angry with you, no matter how long I have to wait.”
Leila’s heart fluttered at his words. Would she ever find someone else who loved her as unconditionally and deeply as he did? Not even her late mother could have matched his devotion.
“…Thank you.”
“Haha, what could you be planning to show me?”
Lucas’s anticipation grew. Whatever it was, it was something his wife had prepared for him. Imagining the scene that would unfold before his eyes when he opened them, he waited patiently.
After the coachman drove away, Leila led him to an empty space.
The villa Roan had gifted them was indeed small, just enough for the two of them, but that made it all the more special. It wasn’t a shabby villa either. From the exterior to the interior, everything was meticulously crafted, from the curtains to the carpets, all made by skilled artisans.
The villa, located halfway up the mountain, was accessible via a road from the foot of the mountain, and the entire mountain was private property, with the entrance blocked.
In other words, only the two of them were present on the mountain.
“We’re here.”
Standing in front of the villa, Leila let go of Lucas’s hand and turned him to face the door.
“Open your eyes when I tell you to.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Lucas replied with a smile in his voice. As Leila unlocked the door, she called out.
“You can open your eyes now!”
At her words, Lucas opened his eyes immediately. A new place came into view. He first noticed the cozy-sized living room and the luxurious sofa in the center.
“…Where are we?”
“This is my villa. A gift from Father.”
“What?”
“And it’s where we’ll be staying for the next week.”
“…Wow.”
He was speechless from the series of surprises. The fact that his father had given his wife a villa was a shock, but learning that their journey wasn’t over yet was even more surprising.
Although he didn’t like that his wife had received a gift from another alpha, his discomfort melted away with her next words.
“I prepared this so we could spend our heat and rut together after a long time.”
“Ah…”
Her mischievous words already had him aroused. He stared at Leila intensely. Then, in a softer voice, she continued.
“Shall we try for a second child?”
“You don’t even have to ask.”
He was more than happy to have more children with her, as long as it didn’t strain her. Whether it was a second or third child, he welcomed the idea of growing their family together.
Unable to hold back any longer, Lucas wrapped his arms around his wife’s waist and kissed her deeply.
It was indeed the perfect vacation.
