No Such Thing as a Chaste Man! Just Give It Ten Tries! - Chapter 29
‘What should I do…?’
Ah, right.
Something flashed through Seo-ah’s mind.
The artifact gifted to her by Nemion, her flirtatious mage comrade, who had been enthusiastically cheering for her seduction attempts.
The artifact consisted of four rings, divided into two pairs.
“If you wear one ring, no sound will escape, and if you wear two, even your figure will vanish. If two people share a pair, they can sense each other while being invisible and silent to others.”
In short, when the two rings were worn by separate individuals, they could remain in contact with each other while being undetectable by sound or sight to anyone else. Nemion, her shameless friend, had handed it over as a gift, implying she could use it to engage in ‘activities’ anywhere without being interrupted.
Seo-ah had taken the artifact just in case, thinking she’d never need to use such a thing. Yet here she was…
‘If we each wear two, we could slip out to the main hall’s first floor without anyone noticing.’
Suppressing her mixed feelings about Nemion’s surprisingly useful foresight, Seo-ah rummaged through the pocket of her dress and produced the artifact.
“This is something Nemion gave me. If we split the rings and each wear two, no one will be able to see or hear us. So—”
Before she could finish explaining, Ephelinus snatched the rings out of her hand and flung them behind him with a sharp, decisive motion.
The force of his throw sent the rings clinking against the balcony windows before they tumbled outside, vanishing into the night.
“What are you doing!” Seo-ah exclaimed.
“That insolent mage dared to give you something so depraved,” Ephelinus muttered.
“No, it’s not like that… What?”
“I am well aware of his ungodly nature, his obsession with lasciviousness, and his disgraceful interests,” he continued, voice cold. “But to think he would fixate on you so impurely, even going so far as to provide such vile tools for your private affairs…”
His words, sharp and biting, sent a chill down Seo-ah’s spine.
Ephelinus was angry. Perhaps… because Seo-ah had mentioned the name of another man?
No, wait—those indecent looks weren’t directed at me—they were aimed at you!
“Was it him who influenced you to say you’d go home and consort with any man? Now it makes sense why I felt uneasy every time you called him a friend.”
When had Ephelinus become so fixated on Nemion? Seo-ah had never even formally introduced them.
As her soft brown eyes wavered in confusion, Ephelinus let out a deep sigh.
“Haah…”
Straightening up from his crouched position, he unfolded his tall, broad frame fully. As he stood, his imposing, solid build seemed to blot out the night sky behind him.
Apart from the faint sheen on his lips, there was little to indicate what had just transpired. His High Priest’s ceremonial robes remained mostly pristine, the crisp fabric unmarred by wrinkles. Even the stiff, high collar remained buttoned all the way up.
His composed appearance was almost infuriatingly flawless. Who could possibly guess that this impeccably dressed High Priest had just been ravenously devouring the core of a woman’s being, so desperate to claim her that he seemed ready to dive into her at any moment?
Then, without a word, he began unbuttoning his collar.
The tightly fastened neckline, which had previously emphasized his rigid dignity, loosened as he undid each button. With that simple action, his demeanor began to shift ever so slightly, taking on a faintly decadent air.
His long silver hair, slightly tousled, framed a face flushed with faint traces of passion. His alabaster skin bore the heat of his exertion, his eyes reddened from desire, and his lips glistened, evidence of their earlier indulgence.
As his collar fell open, exposing the prominent bob of his throat that had moved so alluringly with every gulp, Seo-ah couldn’t help but stare, entranced. When his adam’s apple was fully revealed, she jolted back to her senses.
“Y-Your Holiness…? Here, of all places…?”
But before she could protest, he shrugged off his robes entirely.
The long ceremonial coat that had draped down to his knees was discarded in one swift motion, leaving his upper body clad in only a thin silk shirt. Even through the fabric, Seo-ah could make out the powerful lines of his chest.
How could he hide a body like this for so long? Seo-ah thought, momentarily mesmerized.
Before she could process further, Ephelinus stepped forward and draped his ceremonial coat over her chest, wrapping her tightly in its folds before lifting her into his arms.
Wait, what?
Caught entirely off guard, Seo-ah’s wide eyes darted around in surprise.
“If there’s no alternative, then we’ll take the straightforward approach.”
Ephelinus adjusted the coat so it covered Seo-ah from her neck down to her shoes, ensuring she was completely concealed. Then, he carried her off the balcony without hesitation.
He didn’t forget to retrieve the discarded items—the shawl, the organza hood, and the torn remains of Seo-ah’s undergarments—as he left.
