When he caressed the sensitive membrane and touched the soft, swollen flesh, a burst of pl*asure exploded behind my eyes.
I had thought this before, but Callion’s tongue was quite aggressive. It was thrilling and dizzying how his soft tongue was more relentless than his firm hands.
Slurp. Suck. The wet sounds that escaped each time his sucking lips parted were lewd.
After licking up the juices flowing down my thighs, Callion opened his mouth wide and sucked in my entire private area as if swallowing it whole. The caress of his broad tongue rubbing everything was ecstatically overwhelming.
As my weakened fingers let go of my skirt, the fabric fell over Callion’s head. Undeterred by the darkness, he remained buried under my skirt, focused on sucking below.
Slurp. The somewhat vulgar sound trickled down my legs.
“Mm, Callion, ah, it’s good. There, mmm…”
A bolt of pl*asure struck as he strongly sucked on my sensitive bud. Callion lifted me up and carried me to the bed as I instinctively moved my hips despite having no strength to stand.
“I missed you, Ju-in.”
“Did you think of me a lot?”
“Yes. Always.”
His sincere gaze and voice melted away any resentment I had felt.
“I’ve been constantly wishing for you to come and hold me too.”
“…”
Instead of undressing me as I expected, he lifted my skirt up to my lower abdomen, fully exposing me, and gently caressed between my folds with his fingers.
“Mmm…”
“You’re incredibly beautiful, Ju-in.”
As if I could be beautiful in such a state.
It was embarrassing to hear, but not unpleasant. Who doesn’t like compliments?
I closed my eyes and spread my legs. Callion’s long fingers slipped into my already soaked entrance.
His fingers slowly explored inside, rotating, then began to move back and forth, creating friction against my inner walls. As his thumb rolled over my sensitive bud, I could feel myself getting even wetter and hotter inside.
“It’s good, Callion…”
That’s when it happened.
“Aaaagh!”
A distant human scream made me stiffen. Before I could react, he had moved away. Callion got up and looked out the window. His brow furrowed.
“Aaaah! Help me!”
It wasn’t just one person screaming.
Commotion. Shouting voices. The sound of people running, colliding, and falling. The crashing sounds of things falling and collapsing.
What’s going on? Could it be that the castle sent more people because of the imprisoned investigators?
No, it didn’t sound like investigators causing trouble.
It sounded more like people fleeing from something.
“Callion. What’s that sound outside…?”
“Ju-in. You should evacuate.”
Callion got off the bed and knelt on one knee beside me. He took my hand and kissed the back of it.
I could guess without him saying. It was a farewell.
“Head south as fast as you can. On the mountain, stick to the wider paths if possible. Monsters are actually more active during the day than at night, so if you think you’ve taken a wrong turn, hide in a cave or between rocks and move at night.”
“Callion. What’s happening?”
He’s telling me to evacuate, not to hide in the village but to leave it.
What’s going on?
Why are there sounds of people fleeing in panic echoing outside?
“A horde of monsters has attacked the village.”
“What…?”
“It’s not a number that people can handle even if they join forces. You must escape.”
Callion stood up and walked to the door.
“I sense a horde of monsters coming from the north. I’ll buy as much time as I can, so please flee to the south, Ju-in.”
Callion opened the door and rushed out. I remained dazed for a moment, unable to grasp the situation, then got off the bed on shaky legs.
Monsters attacking? And not just one or two, but many? Why?
- I heard there was some big problem at the castle. That’s probably why there was a sudden influx of weapon manufacturing orders, and why the investigators were dispatched earlier than scheduled.
I recalled what the inn employee had told me.
The castle. The only space that doesn’t allow monster intrusions. The sacred objects imbued with the castle’s dominion. The time-limited protective charms prevent monsters from attacking the village.
– Usually they come once every few months, so I didn’t expect them to come so soon. There must be some urgent reason to collect mana stones.
‘Perhaps, the reason why the investigators were dispatched earlier than planned…’
What if it wasn’t just because of a problem at the castle, but because there was an issue with the sacred objects protecting other villages outside the castle?
What if they were trying to mass-produce weapons and collect magic stones before the sacred objects’ effects wore off and the villages collapsed under monster attacks?
‘No. I’ll think about it later. I need to evacuate now.’
Callion rushed out to fend off the monsters. I need to lead the people and help as many as possible to evacuate safely from the monsters.
As I stood up, determined, a system window appeared before me.
Today, you will save 1 person and die.
The system said I would save one person and die.
One person. Just one?
But a horde of monsters has attacked the village.
There are many villagers.
I can only save one?
‘This can’t be right.’
It’s impossible.
Although the system window has been harsh to me, isn’t it supposed to make me do righteous things? It wouldn’t push other people into danger.
The system window isn’t the only god-like entity in this world, so it shouldn’t have the power to do this for a quest.
They called me a sacrifice.
They brought me back to life because I did the righteous thing of saving people.
So shouldn’t the world keep safe those I can’t save?
I ran down the corridor and slid down the stairs. The lobby was already deserted, everyone must have evacuated. I leaped over fallen chairs and rushed outside, where piercing screams filled the air.
“Aaaah! Monsters!”
“Quickly, quickly to the south!”
The northern watchtower had collapsed. The wide palisade looked as if a huge beast had taken a bite out of it, with the upper part gone, and black monsters were crawling over the mangled fence.
One, two, three… I could see at least ten just through the alleys.
They said usually only one or two would stray into the village. Did something really happen in the mountains to drive down so many monsters?
“The main road to the square is breached, hurry and block it!”
“Run away quickly!”
Armed people were facing the monsters to buy time for others to evacuate.
‘No. There are too many.’
It took about fifteen strong men working together to take down one monster.
Even then, they could barely manage to catch one by surrounding it. In an open area where monsters could appear from anywhere, trying to respond was tantamount to suicide.
‘Where is Callion?’
If dozens had pushed through, the south would already be in chaos, but if they were still facing off in the northern square, the initial response must have been quite good.
Even so, they couldn’t hold out for long.
The streets were empty. I could hear people’s cries from the southern entrance. I scanned the stalls with my eyes. The protective charms that ward off monsters were all gone. Then, even if people escaped to the mountains, they should be able to protect themselves somewhat.
I looked up at the northern hill. Did the shop owner grandmother evacuate safely? The square where the palisade collapsed was to the northeast, and the antique shop was to the northwest, so if she evacuated quickly, she should have reached the southern entrance by now. Although her eyesight was poor, she didn’t have trouble walking.
‘There’s not enough time to go check. I should believe she evacuated and headed south too…’
Just as I thought that I heard a monster’s roar.
“Grooaar!”
A monster with several spears stuck in its back began climbing the hill, roaring.
Monsters don’t make noise unless they’re chasing prey or fighting.
Why is it roaring while climbing the hill? There’s only an antique shop up there.
‘No way. It can’t be.’
As I watched anxiously, I saw the back door of the warehouse clatter open.
“…!”
My legs moved reflexively. My feet felt hot against the ground.
An antique shop with only one employee.
I was at the inn, so there was only one person who could come out of there.
Callion told me to evacuate south, but I was running towards the northern hill.
“Grandmother!”
Of all places, it’s the most exposed position to monsters with no other buildings around.
‘That’s why I said it would be better to close down a shop that doesn’t sell much anyway!’
I’m not a hero. I’m not a saint. I’m not righteous enough to throw away my life to save someone.
But I’m going to die today anyway.
If I’m going to die anyway, I want to save at least one person.
