Saving My Childhood Friend Through... Questionable Means... - Chapter 21
Soon, their union locked together perfectly as Lucas thrust to the base, and hot, thick seed erupted from the tip of his length.
“Ugh… haah…”
Even after finishing, Lucas remained buried inside her for a long while. Seria could feel the faint movements of his still-sensitive length within her. Attempting to twist her waist and pull away as she had the previous night, she found herself unable to escape his hold.
“Lucas, um…”
Seria, her face flushed red, called out to him weakly as it seemed he had no intention of withdrawing. Startled from his daze, Lucas finally lifted his head at the sound of her voice.
“Huh?”
“We’re done, aren’t we? Can you…?”
Her body, still recovering from the effects of their first night together, ached in places she hadn’t even thought possible. And now, having gone at it again so soon, her lower body throbbed painfully, as if it had been struck. She had no strength left to push him away, and even staying still made her legs tremble as if she had been standing and sitting repeatedly for hours.
As her gaze shifted toward their point of connection, Lucas brushed his sweat-drenched bangs back with an awkward expression before glancing down with a regretful look.
Gripping her soft thighs with his large hands, Lucas pressed their hips together more firmly and leaned in to whisper in her ear.
“How about… one more round?”
“Huh? Wait! Let me see your arm.”
At her sudden demand, Lucas hesitated and leaned back slightly, showing her his forearm. Seria leaned in to examine the incubus mark on his arm.
Just as she thought, the mark had noticeably faded compared to before. Relieved, Seria stretched her arms with a satisfied smile.
“Yes! The mark’s fading! I don’t think we need to do it anymore tonight!”
“…Oh? But I feel like I could still keep going.”
Lucas’s disappointed tone made Seria snap back immediately.
“What are you talking about? Weren’t you the one saying it’s wrong to do this unless necessary?”
At her sharp rebuttal, Lucas replied with a crestfallen face.
“Well… it is wrong. But, you know, like sword training, I feel like I could get better if I practice more…”
What kind of logic was that? Did he think getting better at this was something to brag about? Was he planning to become the king of high society or something? And why practice this with her?
As Seria’s expression soured visibly, Lucas sighed and reluctantly withdrew himself. There was no point in forcing her if she clearly didn’t want it. Rubbing her thighs and glaring at him, Seria muttered in exasperation.
“You’re seriously too much…”
“Ah, sorry. I didn’t mean to… Are you still not fully recovered? I’ll be more careful next time.”
Lucas’s apology left Seria feeling bewildered about what kind of conversation they were even having. Shaking her head, she staggered out of bed, her legs trembling as if she’d been through a grueling workout.
“Ugh…”
She reached for a clean towel prepared on the nightstand to clean herself up. As she wiped her body, Lucas approached with a robe in hand, ready to help her get dressed. His thoughtful gesture caught her off guard, and she instinctively took a step back.
“Leave it. I’ll do it myself. Doesn’t the Duke have any dignity? Helping his secretary get dressed?”
“No one’s watching anyway. And, well, I feel like I was a bit rough again tonight… so I just want to be considerate.”
He always had the right words. Yet when it came down to it, he never held back, no matter how much she asked him to go easy on her. With a slight pout, Seria grabbed the robe and put it on herself.
Now that the night’s task was done, all she wanted was to return to her room and get some rest. But as she moved to leave the bedroom, Lucas grabbed her hand.
“You’re leaving already?”
“Of course. What, do you have more planned for tonight?”
“No, not exactly… It’s just that you get up so promptly. I thought maybe we could lie down and chat for a bit before you go.”
What was this now? His casual suggestion felt like someone inviting her for a cup of tea. It left her momentarily speechless.
“What? We’re in a ‘casual relationship,’ remember? Detached means no cozy little chats. We’re done here, so I’m leaving.”
“Oh… right, that. ‘Casual relationship,’ huh? But, Seria… before that, we’re friends, aren’t we? I’m just saying this as a friend.”
The word ‘friend’ made Seria’s violet eyes tremble slightly. Lucas’s clear blue gaze fixed on her, and for some reason, it stung her chest a little more than it should have.
‘Why does this make me feel so awful? He’s right, we are friends. But somehow, hearing him confirm it makes me feel… down.’
Why did she feel this way? She’d agreed from the start that their arrangement held no deeper meaning. If anything, she had worried their friendship might be ruined because of it. She shook her head vigorously, trying to dispel the confusion swirling in her mind.
