Saving My Childhood Friend Through... Questionable Means... - Chapter 58
“Not yet… you haven’t come yet…”
At Seria’s words, Lucas momentarily showed a sheepish expression before sitting up. Without hesitation, he pinned her down and hurriedly began removing her clothes.
“No! Let me do it! Also! Why am I the only one naked while you’re still dressed? Take your clothes off, too!”
“If you’re not careful, you’ll rip—oh my gosh!”
With a sharp rip, Seria’s clothes tore under Lucas’s rough handling. Though he furrowed his brow apologetically, his hands only moved faster, eager to strip her completely.
“They’re already torn, so I might as well rip the rest. Don’t worry, I’ll buy you plenty of new clothes.”
“Are you out of your mind?!”
“Seria, you’re even prettier without clothes. No, wait—actually, you’re gorgeous both dressed and undressed!”
Seria shot him a sharp glare, and Lucas, flustered, quickly corrected himself. But since the damage was already done, he proceeded to strip her completely, tearing off the remaining fabric with a loud riiiiiip! As her bare body was revealed, Lucas gazed at her with an almost reverent expression.
For a moment, he felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. He had been terrified when Seria had refused to talk to him and left for her friend’s house. The fear that their relationship might never recover had consumed him. If he hadn’t gathered the courage to visit her and waited in the rain, she might never have accepted his feelings.
Just earlier that day, before Seria’s return, the runaway sorcerer had been dragged before Lucas. This was the same sorcerer who had lied for money but later confessed out of guilt. Lucas had been searching for the man ever since his scheme had been exposed.
The sorcerer desperately pleaded for forgiveness, explaining his reasons. He claimed that after seeing how Seria looked at Lucas, he had realized there was no need to fabricate a lie. In his eyes, the two only needed to be honest with each other to work things out. The letter to Seria had been his way of trying to make amends.
As a gesture of good faith, the sorcerer had even helped orchestrate Lucas’s confession by summoning magical flower petals and music. Though the flower storm had been a bit over-the-top, the confession was ultimately successful, so Lucas let it slide.
Now, with Seria pinned between his knees, Lucas smiled silently. The simple act of gazing at her filled him with warmth. It was as if her mere presence tickled him all over.
When Lucas leaned down slowly, Seria squeezed her eyes shut, anticipating his next move. His moist lips gently brushed against her forehead before pulling away. The heat of their bodies pressing together was almost overwhelming.
This is it, right? Seria bit her lip, preparing herself for what was to come. But then, Lucas’s weight suddenly disappeared. When she cautiously opened her eyes, she saw him lying sideways beside her.
What was this? Why had he stopped? Seria squinted at him in confusion, and Lucas, noticing her gaze, smiled softly and pulled her into his arms.
“It’s okay. If you’re scared, we don’t have to do this. We have all the time in the world now,” he said gently.
“Huh?”
He had been so desperate, even tearing her clothes in his haste—what was this sudden change? Seria had even mustered the courage to touch him earlier. Puzzled, she stared at Lucas’s face, only for him to smile tenderly again.
“If you don’t want to, I don’t want to either. I’ve been inconsiderate in the past, so…”
Trailing off, Lucas tapped Seria’s cheek lightly with his finger before pulling her into a firm embrace.
What is this? He’d gone to all this trouble to set the mood, and now he was backing out. Did he change his mind about wanting to?
Seria was on the verge of feeling disappointed when she felt something hard pressing against her from below. Wait a minute—if he was this aroused, why wasn’t he doing anything? After all the effort she’d put into pleasuring him, this was absurd.
Lucas, oblivious to Seria’s growing frustration, smiled sheepishly as her gaze dropped to the source of the pressure. Realization finally dawned on her: Lucas was one of those hopeless romantics who restrained himself at the most nonsensical moments.
This idiot! He was probably patting himself on the back for holding back, completely unaware of how ridiculous he was being.
