The Emperor, sleeping on Karyn’s lap, seemed truly peaceful.
He didn’t seem like a person who had just lost his wife, his Empress, just moments ago.
How could Tian not nod his head?
He was too young and scared.

The girl went to the bedside table and brought back a white cloth.
Then, abruptly, she brought it to his forehead.

Tian jumped up, bewildered.
However, the girl casually ignored him and continued what she was doing.
Pressing the cloth firmly against his forehead.
“I’m just trying to prevent you from catching a cold from the night sweats! We’re acquaintances……”
“……”
“…No.”
In a strange silence, Tian immediately protested.
“What? What am I?.”
But the girl just looked at him flatly.
Tian, somehow feeling provoked, pushed the girl’s hand away.
“Hurry up and tell me. What did I do…”
Then he stopped talking.
The girl’s face was too close, closer than he expected.
With every blink, her ivory-colored eyes sparkled like glass beads.
What, what am I…”
His gaze naturally shifted to her plump cheek and small, plump lips below.
The girl looked like she was dying of pathetic self-pity.
It was an expression that should have made him feel a little bad…….
In the end, Tian completely closed his mouth.
Up close, the girl was extremely beautiful.
It was the first time he had seen such a beautiful child since he was born.
