The Baddest Villainess Is Back - Chapter 23
The ball gowns alone seemed to number at least twenty, not to mention the plethora of accessories and over a dozen pairs of shoes.
“Is there a problem?”
“No, I can buy them for you if you want…”
At Roxelyn’s fierce voice, Gerun Wilfred shrugged nonchalantly.
“Well, thank goodness I don’t have any private fortune.”
She snorted and nodded her head.
After leisurely looking around the wide boutique, she finally sat down on a sofa in the center after making her final selections.
‘…Her taste is better than I thought.’
Fleur glanced at the dresses Roxelyn had chosen, contemplating.
From designs that were yet to be trendy but soon would be, to classic designs that had been loved for a long time, to somewhat extravagant ones.
Roxelyn had almost picked out the pieces that Fleur either genuinely liked or had put a lot of effort into creating.
‘…I heard she was quite oblivious to fashion though.’
But now, what about Roxelyn?
The dress Roxelyn wore was undoubtedly a black dress that everyone avoided.
A dress that would make any lady look dull and gloomy.
However, the red lipstick on her pale skin, her crimson eyes, and her white hair combined to give her an alluring rather than gloomy appearance.
It was as if the dress was made for Roxelyn.
Feeling her prejudices shattering, Fleur involuntarily gasped.
Fleur gestured to her assistants to bring fresh tea and pastries and approached Roxelyn.
“Ducal Lady, you must be tired, but may I take your measurements? The dresses need to be tailored.”
“Let’s do that.”
Roxelyn rose from her seat.
Fleur quickly took her meticulous measurements and then guided her back to her seat.
“I didn’t know you were so greedy.”
Roxelyn narrowed her eyes at the man she had unpleasantly met earlier at the palace.
“Thanks to someone, my wardrobe is empty.”
“Well, sorry about that.”
He chuckled in a low voice and replied indifferently.
Gerun Wilfred.
Sure enough, he also had memories from before crossing into this world.
“Well, if you’re feeling better, how about coming to my estate? There seems to be a lot you want to talk about.”
Gerun said as Roxelyn sipped her tea, narrowing her eyes.
Roxelyn, quietly sipping her tea, was observed by Gerun, who still wore a faint smile.
To Roxelyn, Gerun was always such a difficult person.
The man in his late thirties, much younger than she remembered, still spoke like an old man and was gentlemanly.
Now, it was excessively so, almost creating a sense of disconnect with his appearance and demeanor.
Roxelyn sighed lightly, gazing at his brown hair and violet eyes.
“Lady.”
Roxelyn looked at Fleur.
“Where should we deliver these dresses and accessories?”
“Send them under the name Lady Roxelyn Bellion to the Bellion Dukedom’s manor. I’ll inform the butler.”
“Yes, of course.”
Fleur beamed like a blooming flower.
“I’d like to gift you a dress as well, even though it’s still a trial model… if that’s alright with you?”
“I’d be grateful for that.”
Roxelyn smiled and nodded readily.
“Then, it will take some time to alter everything, so I’ll make sure you receive everything in a week.”
“Keep that in mind.”
“And if there are any issues, please contact me. I’ll come right away to check. And if you need a dress, just call, and I’ll visit personally.”
Fleur’s generous offer made her assistants behind her widen their eyes.
