The Baddest Villainess Is Back - Chapter 4
But what was even more astonishing was…
‘How did she know?’
The voice that whispered as if it knew her plans inside out.
“Haah… Brutish beasts can’t understand a polite request, and it’s so annoying.”
Roxelyn muttered softly as if speaking to herself. Eventually, one of the maids, who usually followed Lady Carmel obediently, spoke up.
“Miss, isn’t your tone a bit too harsh? The Young Madam… Ahh!”
Lady Carmel widened her eyes. Something seemed to pass before her eyes, and soon, instead of her, a loyal maid who had taken a step forward let out a scream.
“It’s not ‘Young Madam,’ it’s Lady Carmel. And I am ‘Ducal Princess’ to you.”
“Ahh, it hurts, it hurts!”
“Roxelyn! What are you doing…!”
Lady Carmel let out a shriek.
“Oh dear. Mother, you should educate the maids better.”
Roxelyn turned her head with a smile. Her lips smiled lightly, but her eyes were cold. The unkempt, disheveled hair made her look even more eerie, and her red irises visible through the messy hair left Lady Carmel speechless.
The woman who had only muttered under her breath was still gripping the maid’s hair and smiling. Lady Carmel, who had scolded her, froze in place.
“Mother, do I need to tell you one more time to leave my room?”
“You… You’re really…”
“Get out.”
“Don’t think today’s events will be forgiven like this. I’m, I’m really so miserable…”
Lady Carmel, who had been staring at Roxelyn’s indifferent face, turned away, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“It’s no use trying to give advice.”
Roxelyn sighed, annoyed by the thought of how irritating this would be. She meant it when she said that she wouldn’t care as long as she wasn’t bothered. But in reverse…
If she were bothered, she had the heart to push them into the abyss.
And exactly three days later, she received an invitation to the Duke’s formal dinner.
It might be called a formal dinner, but it was a gathering where they would openly mock her.

For the past three days, Roxelyn had collected information and organized her thoughts about her situation:
- This place is a ‘parallel world’ about 10 years before her death, and she was currently 17 years old.
- Even though it’s a ‘parallel world,’ the people she knew were here, and significant events were similar.
- Her situation here is terrible. The servants mocked or ignored her, and her image was poor. She didn’t even have a personal maid.
- Though they’re the same people she remembered, they weren’t all exactly the same as they were before.
Thinking of the servant who had once been kind to her but now looked down on her, Roxelyn finished sorting her hair.
With the information she had gathered about this world, Roxelyn had made one decision: to live quietly, modestly, comfortably, and normally in this world.
‘I’m tired of being chased and pointed at.’
Roxelyn looked at the old and plain dresses in her wardrobe, and her expression soured.
“My stepmother hasn’t changed at all. Still as foolish and one-dimensional as ever.”
After having brought down the Bellion Duchy in her previous life and not escaping the role of a ‘bishop,’ Roxelyn was unimpressed.
In this place, too, she received periodic instructions and did as she was told.
‘So it was easy for me to kill.’
Roxelyn thought as she split her long bangs, which felt like they were stabbing her eyes, in half and pushed them behind her ears. With a refreshed and clear view, she looked at herself in the mirror and then put on a black dress she had taken from the wardrobe.
“There’s a lot to fix.”
She wore a fake-looking pearl necklace that anyone could tell was fake. After applying somewhat crude-looking lipstick to her lips to mask her pale complexion, she looked in the mirror.
The bright red irises and red lipstick stood out against her pale skin.
A smile found its way to her lips.
“How long has it been?”
