The Baddest Villainess Is Back - Chapter 74
Roxelyn said this and stood up from her seat with a relaxed and calm demeanor.
“Today, the table has been broken, and the mood is disturbed, so it might be better to schedule another meeting. What do you think?”
At Roxelyn’s question, the Khan remained silent.
After a while, Roxelyn saw the Khan’s head move heavily and so she smiled lightly as she bowed slightly.
“I hope our next meeting brings a sturdy table and a cordial agreement where we respect each other.”
Roxelyn tapped the ruined table with her toe as she spoke.
Her arrogant look was intense enough to easily conceal her now ashen face.
It was somewhat rude, but considering how the Kalutan had broken the table right in front of them, they were more at fault.
Arma naturally escorted her out of the tent.
“Ha!”
The Khan, who had been verbally pushed back for the first time, could only burst into hollow laughter.

“Water…”
After the negotiation, Roxelyn finally succumbed to the symptoms of altitude sickness. She had to focus on her recovery now.
Lying in bed, she murmured quietly, and this prompted Arma to jump up.
“I’ll get it for you, Roxelyn.”
“Ah, thank you.”
She watched Arma rush out with a bemused face.
Not long after Arma left, someone knocked on the door.
“Yes.”
The door cracked open slightly, and young children peeked their heads through the gap.
One of them was a familiar face.
“My goodness, adults can be so sick they can’t move… You were right, Lord Batar…!”
“See? I told you I never lie.”
Batar answered proudly.
Whatever rumors he had spread, their expressions were all akin to ‘Does such a person really exist?!’ as if they had encountered a rare animal or a creature from legends.
Batar was surrounded by them, looking very pleased with himself.
It was unclear what he found so satisfying.
“May we come in?”
Batar glanced at Roxelyn and asked,
“We won’t cause trouble…right?”
Roxelyn did not like to show weakness to anyone.
But she couldn’t bring herself to be harsh or kick out the children.
Thus, with a reluctant expression, Roxelyn nodded.
“Ah, we got permission!”
“We’re coming in!”
“Hey, what did I tell you guys? Greetings are mandatory, right? I told you that in foreign countries, there are polite ways to greet people!”
“Oh, right.”
The four children, excluding Batar, lined up and bowed deeply.
“Excuse us!”
It was a remarkably incorrect way of greeting.
“Wow, your skin is so pale. You must be very sick…”
“Are you okay, pretty sister?”
“Pretty sister! Marry me, I’ll make you healthy!”
One boy took a flower from the vase and offered it to Roxelyn as a proposal.
“Hey!”
Batar’s fist thumped the boy on the head.
“Ow!”
The proposing boy rolled on the floor.
“Wow, white hair is so pretty…”
“Are you hurt anywhere else? I’ll tell my mom and dad to bring you something to make you healthy.”
“No, I’m fine.”
Roxelyn chuckled at the children gathered around her.
“Get well, Sister.”
“Yeah yeah, get healthy and marry Brother Batar!”
The children clung to Roxelyn’s hands and arms.
“Ah! Stop saying weird things!”
Despite their bickering, the warmth and small grip of their hands slightly relaxed Roxelyn.
Roxelyn’s eyes gradually closed.
“Uh…? Sister’s sleeping.”
“Shh, shush! Mom said to be even more careful with frail foreigners than with a feather.”
“Yeah, but I think we need to be even more careful with our pretty sister.”
Amidst their whispering, Roxelyn fell back into sleep.
Not long after Arma returned, he sent the whispering children out and sat at the end of the bed where she lay.
“Why do you make me want you more, Roxelyn?”
He felt a thrill down his spine when he had watched her as she faced the Khan, not stepping back even in front of the leader of the barbarians.
At the same time, a cheap emotion akin to jealousy stirred within him.
Because it was an unknown side of her.
“If you act so desirable, I won’t want to let you go.”
Arma whispered softly.
He gently pressed his lips to the ends of the sleeping Roxelyn’s hair.
In the darkness, his blue eyes slowly closed.
