The Dialectic of Master and Slave - Chapter 45
Her mind went blank, and Jaha let out a short scream before quickly biting her lip. The sight of it infuriated the Emperor.
Those stubbornly sealed lips.
The mouth that only lets out a moan when pushed to the limit before snapping shut.
Why is this worthless thing acting so high and mighty?
By this point, any other woman would have whispered sweet nothings a hundred times over.
Other women were always desperate to say even one more word in his presence. Once they were in his bed, they would chatter endlessly, as if they had become something special. He disliked talkative women and would immediately send them away.
One of the reasons he had initially liked this slave was because she wasn’t noisy. But at some point, seeing her tightly sealed lips made his chest feel tight.
He grew impatient with her stubborn lips, which refused to make any sound other than the occasional moan she couldn’t suppress. At times, he wanted to yell at her to say something, anything.
Why is she so silent?
She definitely wasn’t mute. She had answered his questions before and repeated what he told her to say. There was nothing wrong with her tongue or vocal cords. Yet, in front of him, she remained completely silent.
A competitive urge surged within him. He wanted to make her utter any sound from those lips.
His habit of touching her all over during intimacy was also a manifestation of that desire.
He was aware of the reversal of priorities.
Wasting time and energy on something so trivial.
His actions were far from the original purpose of efficiently satisfying his desires.
Even the vulgarities, which had initially been a means to humiliate her, had changed in purpose at some point.
He wanted her to snap and get angry, or beg him to stop—anything would do.
The occasional moan she couldn’t hold back was welcome, but he wanted more.
He wanted to draw some kind of reaction from this slave. Not empty words forced out by his authority, but something she said on her own.
That day had left a bad aftertaste. The image of the slave sobbing miserably kept resurfacing in his mind, leaving him feeling uncomfortable all day, as if he had swallowed sand. Even though he didn’t dislike seeing her cry, he never wanted to see her like that again.
His instincts whispered:
This isn’t it.
It’s different.
What he wanted from this slave was…
His thoughts couldn’t progress further. The reason was that her inner walls, reaching their peak, clenched tightly around his member.
The thin thread of rationality snapped completely. Driven by instinct, he thrust into her like a beast, chasing the sensation of her tightening around him.

The monthly period was the only means of escape from the Emperor.
She wasn’t sure if this world, like Earth before the development of cultural awareness, viewed menstruation as impure, but whenever her period started, the Emperor wouldn’t summon her for a week. So, at some point, Jaha found herself not entirely disliking the arrival of her period.
Fortunately, Jaha didn’t suffer from severe menstrual cramps or PMS. If she had needed medication, it would have been extremely difficult in this world. As it was, she only experienced a lack of energy, bearable pain, and the occasional irritability and discomfort. Moreover, since she had no specific tasks to do and could simply rest, it wasn’t too hard to endure.
Unlike when she had been assigned to the Langjev Palace library, Jaha now had no specific duties. If the Emperor didn’t summon her, she could rest completely. However, without friends to play with or toys to distract her from boredom, all she could do was sit or lie down, killing time.
She missed the Langjev Palace library, where she could freely read books to her heart’s content.
I hate being alone with nothing to do.
Dark emotions would surge in like a tide.
Thoughts, black and sticky, always lurking, waiting for a chance to swallow her whole.
She had endured horrific things she never wanted to speak of, not just once or twice, but many times. It was impossible not to be affected.
Since the first time she was summoned by the Emperor, Jaha had nightmares every night, and even when awake, memories would suddenly flood in, making her feel like she was going insane. She repeated like a mantra that the Emperor’s actions couldn’t ruin her, but she still felt broken somewhere.
