Violette was told to go to the underground library after dinner.
Meanwhile, Hydrangea also teleported and arrived at the library’s front door right on time.
Usually he would directly apparate inside the room. However, he reflected on how he had frightened Violette the other day and decided to appear just before the door this time.
He knocked on the door for good measure and immediately heard a response. It seems Violette was already in the library.
Violette stood up and greeted him when he entered.
“Welcome back, Dear. I am very grateful that you have made some time for me today despite your busy schedule.”
Hydrangea did not know how to respond towards Violette’s amicable behavior since her usual cheekiness was nowhere to be found.
There were no attendants inside the room when he looked around, and neither were they waiting beyond the door.
“Where are Verbena and your other attendants? Did you come here alone?”
“Yes. It’s already late, so I sent them back.”
Violette seems to have accepted the idea of a young man and woman inside a closed room.
However, it was still dangerous for a woman to walk alone even inside the mansion. When Hydrangea pointed it out, he spotted Pomeranian and Snow White lying in one corner of the room.
“They served as my knights.”
Pomeranian slept with his belly exposed while Snow White was curled up as she slept.
Her knights seem to be already done with guard duty today.
“……”
“Is something the matter?”
“No, it’s just that you got mad at me when I came to your room, so I thought you would surround yourself with attendants this time.”
“You appeared suddenly in my room so I was surprised back then… Since you are only going to teach me magic, I don’t mind being alone with you.”
“I see.”
So she doesn’t mind if it is just the two of us.

“I look forward to working with you!” Violette straightened up and promptly responded.

“Yes. The four great attributes are fire, water, wind, and earth.”
“Correct. A person’s magical attributes basically belong to either of these elements.”
However, extremely rare attributes also existed.
These are attributes bestowed by the Great Spirits and are so rare that only one person is given this blessing every one hundred years or so.
“However, out of the rare attributes such as flame, ice, storm, and thunder— dark and light attributes are rarer still.”

A thousand years ago, Prince Dicentra of Lilliphiltia, who summoned Pomeranian to defeat the Demon King, possessed the light attribute. After he successfully summoned the Great Spirit, he won over Zion, the first head of the Duke Laudense House, to his side and was considered to be one of the great heroes in the land.
“However, a Hero’s attributes are not limited to the light attribute alone.”
Although rare, other people aside from the hero also possess the light attribute. In the case of women, they are called Saints.
Many stories of those who possessed light and dark attributes have become tales which children adored. Violette was no different, and had read many stories about heroes and demon kings during her childhood.
“I’ve always dreamed of finding out what kind of attribute I possess.”
“There are a lot of people who share the same sentiment more than you might think.”
Up until now, countless people had asked to have their attributes checked. However, it usually ends after they learn that they do not possess any attributes.
Those who could use magic with one or more attributes were very few.
“This crystal can determine a person’s attributes. This has already been imbued with magic, so you only need to touch it.”
When she saw him take out the crystal used for determining magical attributes, Violette’s cheeks flushed as she took deep breaths.
