The Guide’s Trampled Purity - Chapter 1
“So.”
Inside the cramped cabin.
The man’s voice, hanging in the air, was very low, with a hint of mockery for some unknown reason.
“Hold you, huh? Without any compensation.”
“……Yes.”
There was no wavering in Rayliel’s blue eyes as she nodded.
A face she didn’t know, a name she didn’t know.
Despite being a woman who had rushed at a man, asking to be held without knowing anything about him, she was remarkably rational.
However, it wasn’t exactly a disadvantageous offer for the man.
For someone who wasted his life drinking all night in a tavern full of mercenaries, deserters, and swindlers, a night with a woman who didn’t even demand payment was rather a benefit.
“…….”
The man’s red eyes languidly and blatantly swept over Rayliel, as if he were stripping away her flesh and bone with his gaze.
A common tavern wench, perhaps. Nothing out of the ordinary.
That was his first thought. But the woman was beautiful. Too beautiful.
Blue eyes that shone dreamily in the dim candlelight. Golden hair cascading down to her waist in waves. Skin so pale it was almost ghostly, like the corpse of a beast drained of blood.
Features that filled her small face and the delicate curves of her slender body.
And despite the worn dress and the tattered cloak she wore, there was an unmistakable nobility about her.
“You must know how valuable purity is to a noble lady.”
The sudden mention of “noble lady” made Rayliel flinch noticeably.
“Chastity, after all, is quite the precious thing.”
“…….”
“One could demand an outrageous price for it. Especially with a face as pretty as yours.”
Yes. The man was right. A woman’s virginity, her purity, was a powerful weapon. Especially in the patriarchal and conservative Allen Empire.
But for that very reason, Rayliel had suffered her entire life.
Never even getting to hold the price of her own body that she had sold.
“And you’re going to throw it away for nothing?”
The man’s long legs moved without hesitation.
Suddenly, the man was right in front of Rayliel, slowly extending his hand. With his long fingers, he tilted Rayliel’s chin up and asked.
“I’ve seen many women throwing themselves at me.”
He stepped closer to Rayliel, almost whispering.
“But it’s the first time I’ve met one so desperate.”
“…….”
“Tell me. Why do you have to sleep with me, of all people?”
“Because you’re the least…”
“The least.”
“You looked like the least… troublesome option.”
The man chuckled.
“So, the least likely to cause problems later.”
Rayliel needed such a man. A partner for one night, with no reasons, no motives, and no consequences.
Moreover, the man didn’t seem to be a noble or, by any means, a member of the royal family. At best, he was probably a mercenary living hand to mouth.
Yes. She needed a man like him.
One who would make her lose this cursed purity without hesitation.
Meeting his gaze directly, Rayliel slowly began to undress.
The tattered cloak fell to the floor like garbage, followed by the worn dress. The corset that had been binding her, her undergarments, all fell to the ground like shed skin.
Staring at the man, Rayliel was now completely naked.
To be precise, she was staring at the lower half of his body.
“It doesn’t seem like you dislike it.”
“…….”
“Isn’t that right?”
A hollow laugh escaped from between the man’s slightly parted lips.
But it didn’t last long. His veined hand, gripping Rayliel’s round shoulder, began to slide slowly down her arms. Her tender chest was like cotton under his touch.
Just as she was about to let out a groan, Rayliel flinched, her body trembling slightly. Not because of the sudden, vivid sensation, but because of something else.
The burning red eyes.
Something intense in that gaze.
Whether it was lust, murderous intent, or both, she couldn’t tell.
Her fingertips trembled at the unknown emotion shadowed in his eyes.
“Ah……!”
The man, now seated on the bed, pulled Rayliel towards him, pulling her close to him from behind.
Then he whispered into her ear.
“I’m in a pretty dangerous state right now. In many ways.”
“…….”
“So, I have no idea what will happen to you after you cling to me, but that is not my concern.”
Maybe she had caught a glimpse of the emotion in his eyes, just enough to make her assume this position. Rayliel tried to turn around, but the man had already buried his head into her shoulder.
Looking ahead, she saw a mirror covered in cobwebs. Although it was cracked and chipped in many places, the mirror was still fulfilling its purpose.
“Spread your legs.”
T/N: btw just a note, this novel doesn’t seem overtly guideverse like the other ones that i’ve read— it’s more like the tranquilizer-madman type guideverse rather than smth with esper-guide fighting monsters and saving the world
at least, that’s how it is until as far as i’ve read… this novel has two volumes so let’s see~
