The Monster's Room - Chapter 63
Spiegel cooperated with J. J’s body, being transparent, could reflect light and partially resist the enemy’s powers. That was enough. Spiegel managed to exploit the gap J created and connect strongly for a short time.
– I don’t think I can stay for long, though.
“Why?”
– I’m not really in the dream; I’m just strongly connected through J temporarily. If J fully integrates into the dream, communicating like this will become difficult.
“…”
– Don’t be sad, my queen. The ‘arrangements’ are working properly.
Spiegel’s image on J’s surface was starting to fade. Seeing Spiegel’s figure flicker like a disrupted signal, Marie felt anxious.
– Don’t forget, Marie.
Spiegel pressed its lips to J’s surface, whispering.
– We love you.
Marie also brought her lips to the surface. She couldn’t feel the physical touch but sensed the deep resonance of connected souls. It felt like a wave of climactic sensation sweeping over her.
“Spiegel.”
Spiegel’s image on J’s surface disappeared.
Marie felt sad again.

“Ugh.”
“Mary!”
Mary Hunt tried to rub her eyes, but John Doe grabbed the child’s hands, preventing her.
“My eyes sting.”
“Stay still. It seems touching them would be a bad idea.”
Tears of blood rolled down the eyes of the child clutching the doll.
John Doe hurriedly took out a handkerchief to wipe the child’s cheeks. Fortunately, the bloody tears soon stopped. On closer inspection, blood vessels in her eyes had burst, likely causing the bloody tears.
“Are you okay?”
“Yes.”
“Nothing strange happened?”
“…”
Something had happened.
Mary Hunt recalled the woman who moved around in the dream ignoring her influence. It was surprising enough that she saved the first monster from the nightmare, but she managed to succeed with the second one too.
The third one wasn’t touched yet not because the woman was special, but because the monster that just entered the dream was too peculiar. It seemed she had overexerted herself by using too much power.
“Tell me. I might be able to help.”
“It’s nothing.”
“Mary.”
“You know, the longer they sleep, the more they integrate into the dream.”
“You seem anxious.”
John Doe’s pointed remark made Mary Hunt bite her lip and lower her gaze. He knelt down to meet the child’s eyes.
“What’s going on?”
“…”
She didn’t want to say it. It felt unfair. Time was on her side. Soon, just a bit more, and the woman would be fully immersed in the dream, allowing Mary to exert her influence over her.
When that time came…
“Something strange passed by.”
“Hm?”
She would utterly destroy that woman in the dream.
She had to.
It was only fair.
“It’s true.”
How could it be so unfair?
The eyes of the young monster who had endured the longest nightmare flared with broken blood vessels, contrasting with the eerie blue of her eyes.

Marie’s sorrow didn’t last long.
Plop.
J, shaped like a pair of lips, lingered nearby. The sight of it begging for a kiss made Marie chuckle.
“Do you want a kiss?”
Plop.
Normally, she would have teased it a bit. But the fact that it remembered her made her happy, so she pressed her lips to J’s. It felt nice. The ease of a kiss without any worry was so sweet.
Feeling better, Marie asked J,
“How were you born?”
Having learned about the origins of the previous two monsters, she was curious about J’s story too. How was J born? At first, J seemed confused by the question, swaying back and forth, then began tapping the marble bathtub.
“…Huh?”
Tap, tap.
Tap, tap, tap.
When Marie didn’t understand, J drained out of the bathtub drain and then refilled it. Marie spoke, half disbelieving,
“You just… suddenly appeared in a marble bathtub…?”
Swish!
Unbelievable.
After hearing only tragic backstories, she expected J’s past to be somber as well. But it wasn’t.
J was just J.
This revelation was so fitting and reassuring that it made Marie laugh. When the monster demanded to know why she was laughing, Marie shook her head.
“No reason. Just… J.”
Marie pressed her lips to J’s and her eyes sparkled.
Her rejuvenated body felt strong and energetic.
“Do you want to have s-x?”
Marie’s desire, which had subsided, had reignited. At her suggestion, J’s probing tendrils smoothened back into place. Marie’s laughter was cut short when she sensed something unusual as J’s touch swept across her body.
Smooch.
“Hmm?”
Just a kiss on the cheek from J made her lower abdomen tense up. The touch of J’s tendril on her cheek suddenly felt strangely unfamiliar. What is this? What’s going on? Marie, with a head full of questions, noticed J’s lips curl into a strange smile.
“What did you do, ah!”
A tendril prodded her inside. Normally, she might have flinched, but this time, she cried out loud. Something was definitely off. Marie crossed her legs tightly, covering herself, and began to assess the situation.
Her arms instinctively moved to shield her chest.
It wasn’t deliberate; it was an instinctive defensive posture.
