Despite knowing the eerie rumors about the Duke’s mansion, Evelyn couldn’t refuse the head maid’s request to become a wet nurse.
She had been caring for the Duke’s daughter, who was blonde-haired like her dead baby for a month. It was then she first encountered the owner of the mansion in the garden on a summer night.

“Ple, pleasure to meet you, Sir. I’m Evelyn, the nanny to Miss Johanson.”
“A nanny.”
