The Nanny of House Herzen - Chapter 66
He continued the shallow thrusts, holding her swollen b****t while she whimpered in complaint. The heavy weight of the baby seemed to make her more sensitive than usual, and she felt everything lower in her body.
Despite the teasing motion, Evelyn’s eyelashes fluttered, and she shook her head from side to side in frustration.
“Ah, ahh, ugh!”
He growled, nibbling on her earlobe. The thought of pushing deeper until her lower belly bulged out made his vision blur.
“After the baby is born, Evelyn…”
“Ah! Hah, ahh…!”
Regardless of what he said, Evelyn was busy writhing her hips. Her tightly shut eyes, framed by trembling golden eyelashes, were filled with tears of pleasure. Adoring her expression, he caressed her wet cheek and increased the speed of his thrusts.
“Oh! Ahh…!”
Evelyn clung tightly to his waist, grinding against him as she climaxed. Though he had no experience, he imagined this must be how courtesans behaved. The contrast with her usual modesty made her current state even more alluring.
Just before he climaxed, Carius managed to pull out. His translucent release splattered erotically over her rounded belly, causing a wave of unspent desire to rise again. However, with a groan of frustration, he collapsed beside her, muttering curses under his breath.
“You’ll have to pay this debt back.”
Evelyn nodded absentmindedly before falling asleep. Carius finally grabbed the discarded towel with a resigned smile, carefully cleaning the evidence of their passion from her swollen belly.
Even after cleaning up, Evelyn’s scent lingered strongly. He couldn’t resist the sight of her full b*****s and sighed deeply. After several lingering glances at his peacefully sleeping wife, he gave in and gently kissed her b****t.
As he softly suckled her n–ple, Evelyn moaned in her sleep.
“Ugh…”
Hearing her voice made his recently satisfied member spring back to life. He suddenly noticed how enticing her ears looked. Too small to penetrate, but perhaps a little teasing would be forgiven.
The wet tip of his manhood, oblivious to any sense of propriety, aimed for the narrow opening of her ear.

The next day, a midwife was summoned to Herzen. In the parlor, the Duke spoke first as the couple sat together.
“It seems the due date you mentioned has already passed.”
The midwife swallowed hard at his words.
The tale of the former Duchess Herzen dying during childbirth was a notorious story among midwives. The midwife who attended that birth had mysteriously disappeared from the estate, and no one knew what had become of her.
Thus, when the news of the new Duchess’s pregnancy spread, every renowned midwife in the region had prayed fervently not to be called upon.
Yet, when she was summoned to the Herzen mansion, the midwife accepted the task with a grateful heart. She dared not refuse, especially considering the generous compensation the Duke offered.
The Herzen family had always struggled with fertility, making this an unparalleled opportunity for the midwife to make a fortune.
During her frequent visits to the Duchy from the early stages of pregnancy, she had sincerely hoped for the Duchess’ safe delivery, as it was intertwined with her own fate. Moreover, the Duchess’s kind and unpretentious demeanor, despite being a high-ranking noble, endeared her to the midwife.
The Duchess, delicate even with her swollen belly, interjected, her cheeks flushing healthily.
“Well, isn’t it possible to go past the due date? The baby moves well inside me… I feel fine, but His Grace is being overly cautious.”
The midwife felt a warmth in her heart at the Duchess’s shy and apologetic tone. In noble households, it was customary to summon the midwife immediately after the due date passed.
Realizing she wasn’t in trouble, the midwife answered with relief.
“Of course, Madam. There’s no need to worry. The baby seems quite content where they are. It’s safe to go up to a week past the due date.”
The Duchess, despite having just assured herself, smiled with visible relief.
“See, everything’s fine.”
The midwife glanced at the Duke’s face for a brief moment before hastily lowering her gaze. The Herzen Duchy was a place where the presence of its stern lord made even the surrounding paths feel forbidden.
Yet, for a fleeting moment, he held his wife’s hand with a face as gentle as a child’s.
This scene wasn’t particularly private between the couple, but the midwife felt like she had witnessed something she shouldn’t have. She quickly lowered her gaze and spoke cautiously.
“Now, it’s good to start some light exercises to help the baby move lower. Walking up and down stairs is beneficial as long as someone is there to assist you.”
The Duke nodded seriously.
“Understood.”
The Duchess added softly.
“Since the due date is close, please stay here. The steward will show you to your room.”
“Yes, Madam.”
The midwife had anticipated this and packed personal items for a few days, so it seemed she had made the right choice.
As she bowed and prepared to leave, the Duke spoke up.
“May I ask you something?”
