The Nymph wants to be Plundered - Chapter 1
Prologue: The Nymph’s Feet Are Forever Bound to the Place of Her Birth
Evelyn, who had been lying quietly on her side, drew in a breath that had grown ragged with excitement. Then, carefully, she peeled away the thick fingers that were clutching her white b****t tightly enough to bruise. Those hands were not her own.
One, two, three, four… five. After removing the man’s wrist that had held her and placing it on the sheet, her previously constricted breath finally escaped.
“Haah.”
Her newly liberated body felt strangely empty.
Glancing down, she saw crimson marks everywhere. Not only on her brxxst, which Cassis had eagerly bitten and sucked, but traces of his kisses were imprinted all over, even below her collarbone. It didn’t look like they would fade in the next few days, so she wouldn’t feel lonely until then.
Despite him sleeping soundly behind her, the mere recollection of the previous night caused her lower body to dampen. As if proving how thoroughly her body had been trained by him.
The ecstatic nights with him and their intense encounters were more than enough to numb her once-rational mind.
The only man who had ever made her a woman.
‘No.’
Admonishing herself, Evelyn drew her legs together as she sat on the edge of the bed and stretched out her hand. The clothes he had tossed beside the pillow were designed conveniently, requiring only a couple of buttons to put on or take off.
Good.
With trembling fingers, Evelyn dressed and gazed pensively at the sleeping man.
Cassis. Unlike the name meaning blackberry, his once-dark hair was nowhere to be seen. Proving his status as the Elven King, he was deep in sweet slumber with lemon-tinted golden hair strewn across the pillow.
He had once told her that before becoming king, he had sometimes slept leisurely on the backs of deer in the forest. She had desperately wanted to witness that rare sight—where nearby trees would lower their leaves to cover him…
Cassis is Beautiful
Cassis is beautiful. Yet that fact alone was insufficient to fully capture her love.
Since entering Jupiter, the realm of elves, he had been the first and only one who had cared for her attentively, setting aside his own welfare to tend to hers with devoted consideration.
Cassis was different. Only Cassis was different. He continued to protect Evelyn, who had been in peril, with tender affection concealed within his tempestuous desire. Even at this very moment.
I realized it too late.
Just as her eyes began to moisten, she admonished her weakening resolve.
“Enough, I must depart now. When dawn arrives, Cassis will awaken from the sylph’s whispers.”
Was it not said that today was the only day of the year when she could safely escape from him?
Her hesitation to translate thought into action was attributable to fear. For a nymph, attempting to hastily relocate from one’s birthplace carried an exceedingly high probability of death. However, with an even more terrifying destiny obstructing their path, she had no alternative.
Nymph. The designation for Evelyn’s species. The King of Elves. The descriptor for the man who, after holding her to exhaustion over several hours, now enjoyed a satisfying slumber.
There existed a word that divided them, though they appeared capable of harmonious coexistence as children of nature when viewed broadly.
Humans.
Evelyn had never ultimately escaped her past as a human. Nearly everyone, with few exceptions, readily referred to her as human.
That label of human origin not only tormented her, preventing her adaptation to this place, but also threatened to completely undermine Cassis’s position as the Elven King. What was it they had said? Even the guardian of the World Tree cannot avoid condemnation?
As she hesitated while observing his sleeping countenance, Polyxene’s warning surfaced in her thoughts:
“Leave his side immediately, Evelyn. You have essentially manipulated our precious King completely. What do you imagine will happen if it becomes known that His Majesty poured the essence of the World Tree into you without regard for his own physical deterioration to save you, a former human? He would certainly face dethronement. Leave, I said leave. You dark, filthy demon! To us, you’re not a nymph but a malevolent imp!”
“I will go. I will go… Do not torment Cassis. I desired him first, and he bears no guilt. He merely shared his essence to save me.”
Her trembling hands firmly clasped a modest pouch.
This was the singular life force sustaining her as a nymph. A small, feeble sapling adorned with several shabby leaves.
Cassis’s Tremendous Aid
Though she had managed to save one growth point with Cassis’s immense help, she remained uncertain about where to establish roots in order to survive.
Still, she had to leave. Even if she might collapse and die in a few days, it would give her the strength to escape from here right now.
The moment she carefully rose to avoid making rustling sounds with the sheets—
“Evelyn….”
“…!”
Her name suddenly flowed from Cassis’s firmly closed lips. His shoulder even shifted, mimicking the motion of embracing her as though she were still nestled in his arms.
He hasn’t awakened, has he? Despite knowing full well this was merely a form of sleep-talking, Evelyn startled.
I love him…
