The One and Only Guide - Chapter 12
Her relentless scolding was met with a flinch from Axion. He didn’t look for her to ask for this. However, upon contact with her, the intense pain he was feeling disappeared as soon as she touched him. Relief washed over him, something he had never experienced before.
Jian confirmed that Axion’s waves were starting to stabilize little by little, then she roughly dragged him over to the bed. She didn’t feel like it, but she thought that she should just get it over with through contact guiding, like the first day they met.
While their compatibility was high enough to produce strong guidance with mere contact, the man’s condition was far from normal. In reality, he required the highest level of guiding.
But she couldn’t do that. In fact, she didn’t want to.
The only option left was the guiding that involved more intimate contact, where their skin had to be in higher surface contact.
Jian hesitated as she started to lift the hem of her clothes. She really didn’t want to do this. But it was her duty as a Guide to follow the Guide Ethical Code.
Looking at Axion, Jian finally spoke.
“Take it off.”
Take… what off? Axion was initially bewildered by her request. He had only comprehended her intention when her eyebrows started furrowing. His eyes widened in realization.
After a moment of consideration, Axion struggled to resist the temptation of guiding.
“I, I didn’t come here for guidance.”
“Then what? Are you planning to go on a rampage like this?”
“It happens from time to time. It subsides over time.”
Subsides over time? What kind of nonsense is that?
“I’m telling the truth. It will subside soon. It can be controlled. So, please have a meal…”
“Hah. You’re so stubborn. If rampages subside so easily, why do Espers seek guidance that much? Stop talking nonsense. Saying that you’re here to get me to eat is just a ruse. I know you came to demand guidance. So, drop that fake expression.”
Jian, who had made her judgment, forcefully pushed Axion onto the bed. It was just a small gesture for Axion, but he obediently fell onto the bed as Jian had anticipated that if he resisted, she would push him back once again.
Having seated Axion on the bed, Jian proceeded to unbutton her jacket one button at a time. It felt unintentionally like a striptease, but she wasn’t embarrassed.
Urgent guiding was, in a way, considered a form of medical procedure, and Axion, with his head bowed deeply, was making every effort not to look at Jian. All that was visible was the crown of the man’s head.
Jian, now completely topless, climbed onto the bed. She then reached out to undress Axion.
As much as she would prefer to leave him to go into a rampage or whatever, how could she? The only comfort was that the current situation was better than when she had performed contact guiding on the cold temple floor, wearing only her cloak.
Suppressing a sigh, Jian’s hands, one button at a time, unfastened Axion’s clothes. Axion’s hand suddenly caught Jian’s.
“I’ll do it.”
“If that’s what you prefer.”
In a blink, Axion stripped off his top and, as directed by Jian, lay down on the bed obediently. It was only then that he belatedly remembered the purpose Jian had found him for, but that thought soon slipped away. Jian straddled him, and the skin of her chest made soft contact with Axion’s bare chest.
“…!”
The increased intensity of the guiding was shocking. It momentarily sent his consciousness halfway adrift and then back.
Regaining his wits, Axion involuntarily gritted his teeth. If he lost control like this, he might end up holding Jian and rolling around in bed as his instincts dictated. Axion gathered all his patience not to take Jian carelessly, despite her straddling him and lying on his chest.
However, all the body’s nerves were drawn toward the guiding. He felt like he understood what it meant for the body to melt. The pain that had previously tormented his physical form was washed away, replaced by a sense of ecstasy and desire.
During the moment he received guidance in the midst of going mad with the rampage, he had been on the verge of death, and he hadn’t fully experienced the power of guiding. This was the first time he was receiving intense contact guiding while being in his right mind.
As Jian’s hand then wrapped around Axion’s shoulder, he couldn’t help but embrace her waist. He was overwhelmed with rapture.
On the other hand, Jian continued guiding him with a detached demeanor. The man’s half-dazed expression was somewhat pitiable, but that was it. Even that seemed too much for her, as she turned her head away, unwilling to acknowledge that she was swept up in the guiding.
If she had to evaluate it, this was an uncomfortable guiding session. If it hadn’t been clear that the man in front of her was on the verge of a rampage, they wouldn’t have resorted to conducting emergency guiding in this manner.
Slowly, time passed between the two individuals who had different thoughts.
