The Princeliest Prince of All - Chapter 29
The belated coronation of the crown prince was relatively simple. Well, it had to be since two royal weddings were scheduled soon.
Sera found great amusement in Siannon Brandt’s dumbfounded expression, as he sat in the front row due to his sister suddenly becoming the crown princess-to-be overnight.
Of course, the highlight of the day for Sera was Leonard’s pale face as he received the two-thousand-year-old holy relic with his bare hands, which looked like nothing more than a bronze mirror to her.
Leonard, wearing a dazzling crown and a red cape, had a look that screamed he wanted to throw the object away immediately. Dressed similarly in a red dress, Sera stood a few steps away, clenching her fists for him in a silent cheer.
“I feel like I’ve aged ten years….”
After the ceremony, Leonard complained to Sera. He looked pale and exhausted.
Sera’s first encounter with the emperor, who had the same dazzling golden eyes as his son, was intimidating. He was an impressive-looking man but a terrifying father-in-law.
“Hang in there. I’ll pamper you when we get back.”
When Sera whispered, Leonard’s eyes darkened immediately.
Get a grip.
Sera jabbed Leonard’s side with her elbow.
The emperor and empress, having finally seen the thorn in their side dealt with, were immensely pleased.
And so was Leticia, who had smoothly married Theodoric.
Although it seemed the crown prince’s wedding would take place immediately after the coronation, it was delayed for an unavoidable reason.
The reason being:
“Your Highness, congratulations on your marriage.”
“I’m sorry, Miss Sera.”
“No, really, congratulations on both your marriage and your pregnancy.”
The main couple had gotten significantly ahead of themselves, and of course, Sera was not disappointed as she had anticipated this.
“Hah, this is unbelievable.”
Leonard, who had been eager to get married as soon as possible, was the only one with a pout.
Sera glanced around, confirming that everyone’s attention was on the beautiful bride, and then kissed Leonard’s protruding lips lightly. She also patted his firm butt as a bonus.
Leonard’s face, which had been furrowed, gradually softened.
“Well, you could have tried a little harder, you know?”
“I didn’t want to.”
Leonard’s sulky expression returned at Sera’s suggestion that they should have beaten Leticia to it.
Surprisingly, despite being engaged for several months, the two had yet to cross the final line.
The prince, now the crown prince, wanted to save that for their wedding night.
Because of his dedication, Sera was also quite frustrated.
“Just wait until the wedding night. I’ll keep you in the bedroom for three days straight.”
“Three days aren’t enough. A week.”
Instead of blessing the beautiful wedding, the two whispered about their desired positions for their first night.
Leonard dreamt of the cowgirl position, while Sera preferred doggy style.
Why not do them all to be fair!
Since it was impossible for two royal siblings to marry in the same year, Leonard and Sera’s wedding took place in January of the following year.
Although the emperor suggested March, the crown prince insisted he couldn’t wait any longer.
Sera couldn’t precisely recall how her wedding went.
She expected it to be similar to the princess’s wedding, but the crown prince’s royal wedding was much more complicated.
It began with a religious ceremony at dawn, followed by various rituals, the wedding ceremony, and a parade that lasted until late at night.
“Your Highness, allow me to apply the fragrant oil.”
“Your Highness, let me massage your shoulders.”
“Your Highness, could you lift your leg for a moment?”
Despite dozing off in the hot tub, Sera had no intention of postponing their first night.
After all, Leonard had been haunting her dreams for days.
A large and sturdy serpent slithered between Sera’s legs—wait, was that a conception dream?
“I’ll attend to it immediately.”
The head maid, who had once assigned Sera to clean the library, bowed respectfully.
Until yesterday, she had shown moderate courtesy to Sera as the fiancée, but now she was extremely polite.
Sera nodded awkwardly.
She skipped the underwear, donned a nightgown that fluttered like butterfly wings, and threw on a red robe, creating quite the atmosphere.
Her usually disheveled brown hair was now sleek and shiny, naturally draped over one shoulder.
This should be enough to entice the new groom.
Following the head maid, Sera headed to the specially prepared bridal chamber.
The corridors of the prince’s palace, which she walked daily, were softly lit.
The servants’ dedication to setting the mood was evident.
Feeling like the protagonist for the first time, Sera walked gracefully down the corridor.
Then, from the opposite end, she saw Leonard walking with the chief attendant.
Matching nightgowns in the same color.
They looked perfectly like a newlywed couple.
“Your Highness the Crown Prince!”
Sera raised her hand and waved as if to show off.
Leonard chuckled.
The head maid shook her head at the sight of the crown princess shattering the well-established mood.
The two stood in front of the large, closed doors.
“We’ll manage from here. You may go.”
At the crown prince’s command, the chief attendant and head maid quickly retreated.
Normally, they would awkwardly stand by the door, listening to ensure the couple consummated their marriage, but there was no need for that with these two.
Everyone in the prince’s palace knew they couldn’t keep their hands off each other whenever they met.
Now that they were alone, it felt a bit awkward.
Nervously, Sera twisted a lock of hair around her finger.
“Sera, could you open the door?”
Leonard waved his ungloved hand in front of Sera’s face.
He didn’t want to touch the dirty doorknob.
Oh, come on.
Sera pouted as she opened the door.
