The Princeliest Prince of All - Chapter 41
A sudden clunk—the sound of carriage doors opening nearby. They wouldn’t come all the way here… would they? Sera and Leonard held their breath, their hearts pounding too hard to allow even a whisper of sound.
They didn’t dare move, fearing that even the faintest creak might draw unnecessary attention.
Maybe they should quickly fix their clothes? But even if they did, it wouldn’t erase the obvious.
Caught clinging to each other in the carriage storage? The Crown Prince and his wife? That would be beyond humiliating.
Leonard slowly wrapped his arms around Sera’s waist, pulling her close.
His own dignity didn’t matter—but hers had to be protected at all costs.
His unwavering resolve was clear to Sera.
Even in this desperate moment, a faint smile curled at the corner of her lips.
He’s a fool most of the time, but when it really matters, he always shows a different side of himself.
Sera, too, silently embraced Leonard’s waist.
At this point, so be it. Everyone already knew that just a glance between them was enough to ignite flames. One moment of embarrassment wouldn’t kill them.
The approaching footsteps grew louder. If that door opened—it was over.
Leonard’s arms tightened around her.
Just as the situation seemed truly doomed, a lifeline called out from the distance.
“Hey! Over there!”
“Ah—yes, sir!”
A familiar voice.
Sera and Leonard’s eyes flickered with hope.
At the sharp command, the presence that had been just outside their carriage quickly withdrew. The voice belonged to Evan Palin, the Crown Prince’s right-hand man.
Using some vague excuse, he had diverted the stable keeper elsewhere.
A moment later, the door closed firmly, followed by the sound of the bolt locking into place.
Evan was, unfortunately, far too accustomed to this sort of thing.
It was the fate of every romance fantasy aide, but that didn’t make his suffering any less real.
After spending his entire life watching his master act as though he were the only clean one in the world, he now had to guard even his reckless private affairs.
Once again, he had quickly grasped the situation and rushed to protect his superior. Truly, a most loyal vassal.
Sera sent deep gratitude and silent apologies to Evan. If I were in his shoes, I’d have quit a hundred times by now. But at least, thanks to him, they were safe.
Sigh. Almost got caught having carriage s*x. That would have been a sight.
As soon as the crisis passed, Sera quickly regained her composure. Leonard, on the other hand, let out a belated sigh of relief.
“Ha, I thought I was going to die.”
“You look fine to me.”
Sera replied, ignoring his pale face and instead glancing at his still very much alive lower body. Healthy as ever.
No matter how terrified he had been, his manhood was standing its ground.
At Sera’s oblivious remark, Leonard’s face twisted into a sulky expression.
“I don’t want anyone seeing your body.”
“Not like I want to show it off.”
Sera shrugged.
Honestly, who would even want to look?
Leonard narrowed his eyes, disgruntled.
The moment their gazes locked, both fell silent.
A heated stare-off.
Tension rose in an instant.
Considering how close they had been to getting caught, it would have made sense to cool off. But neither of them showed any intention of stopping. If anything, with Evan acting as their safety net, they felt even less inclined to hold back.
Leonard moved first. He lifted Sera’s skirt all the way to her waist, and as she caught on, Sera raised her hips to assist him. With a quick snap, he unfastened her tautly secured garter belt.
Now, all that remained was a tiny triangle of lace.
Instead of removing it immediately, Leonard brushed his fingertip along the dampened fabric. A clear trace of moisture clung to his skin.
“You’re soaked.”
“Then hurry up and take it off.”
Sera wiggled her hips impatiently. No point in being shy now.
She wrapped her arms around Leonard’s neck, leaning in, her lips pursed expectantly.
Leonard let out a quiet chuckle before pressing his lips to hers.
Soft pecks at first—light, teasing touches.
But with each repetition, the kisses deepened.
He carefully breached the opening, exploring her mouth like a man starved. His tongue swept over the roof of her mouth. Then, he tasted the pool of saliva gathered beneath her tongue.
Maybe it was his heated breath, but Sera’s lower belly felt unbearably warm. Her eyelashes fluttered faintly, and at that, Leonard kissed her even more fervently.
He sucked hard on her soft lower lip before gently tracing over it again with his tongue.
Gone was the awkwardness of their early kisses. Now, Sera indulged fully, feeling immensely pleased.
A small, satisfied hum escaped her lips.
“Mmh…”
As if that was the signal, Leonard’s hands sprang into action.
With a quick tug, he undid the knot at her hip—
And the damp fabric slid away effortlessly.
A rush of cool air touched her now bare skin.
But she hardly had a second to feel exposed.
Leonard’s fingertip was already parting the soft curls between her thighs, pressing urgently into the warmth beneath.
