The Princess's Spectacular Abduction - Chapter 1
The entire city was aglow on New Year’s Eve.
What are the odds that kidnappers would plot to abduct the First Empress of the Empire on New Year’s Eve?
Even a rookie would find this plan so ridiculous.
In that sense, Keith, a high-ranking member of the notorious gang called ‘Anubis’ in the western continent, felt extremely proud.
They were the only madmen on the continent who could pull this off.
“They said it was dark under the bridge, and they were right.”
Saying this cheerfully to himself, Keith paused, realizing that it wasn’t the kind of phrase one uses at such times.
Since there was no one around to mock him, Keith deliberately ignored the awkward feeling.
There were more pressing issues at hand.
“Now, what should I do…?”
Keith was quite serious, even though the very idea of discussing the subject of kidnapping a princess was out of character.
The bastard boss, the mastermind behind Operation Diamond, the kidnapping of the 1st Empress, hadn’t told me exactly what to do after kidnapping her.
If it were an adult, you could comfortably lock them up in a cell and call it a day.
However, this hostage was a child, and not just any child but the delicately raised, beautiful Princess.
Keith, like a mutt ignorant of chicks, boasted a vague fear and ignorance when it came to young children.
The boss was the one who set this up in the first place, so it’s probably best to leave it to him to deal with it.
But that didn’t seem right to Keith, a self-proclaimed human trash.*
(TN: the original term used was “자타공인 인간 말종인 키” which directly translates to “He was a self-proclaimed human stallion/horse,” but the horse expression really just refers to him being “trash.”)
The Head of Anubis, is who he is.
A savagery that would make even his own allies shudder, a savagery that he must have acquired from the time he spent between his birth father’s legs, a brazenness that could go to hell in a handbasket, a debauchery that wouldn’t stop a woman from coming and wouldn’t stop a woman from going.
He is a man of all kinds of vulgar rumors.
In the public’s eye, rumors circulated about his identity, labeling him as the ‘Gangster Second Prince,’ the younger brother of the current Emperor who was expelled during the reign of the Benevolent Emperor.
According to the information personally verified by the high-ranking officials, including Keith, those rumors, unfortunately, turned out to be entirely true.
He stood as the pinnacle of various human scum gathered within the organization, proudly representing that organization, which was the most powerful organization in the world.
Even so, the fact that he tried to kidnap the First Princess is enough to give me a rough estimate.
You entrust such a man with a child who doesn’t know when to cry?
He could have killed the girl he’d been ordered to kidnap in a fit of rage.
Of course, Keith hadn’t heard of any scum bosses in his service who’d actually killed a baby.
But there’s a first time for everything.
“sh*t, I should have just said I would report it and passed it on to Mercy… … .”
Everyone had gone out to watch the fireworks, and the empty staff hall was as messy as ever.
Keith decided to set his hostage down on the only clean couch.
Curly long blonde hair.
Chubby cheeks.
Long-lashed eyelids.
The tiny porcelain doll-like girl was dead asleep in her box.
Nina Atreides, First Princess of the Empire, currently the most valuable hostage on the Continent and…….
“Is …… she dead?”
Keith’s heart skipped a beat, wondering if she’d suffocated, but upon closer inspection, she wasn’t.
Keith breathed a huge sigh of relief, then carefully lifted her up in a reverent motion, as if lifting a holy object, and laid her down on one side of the couch.
After all that attention to detail, he was completely exhausted.
As he stared at the little girl sprawled on the floor, not sure if she was a doll or a person, he began to wonder.
“Should I tie her up?”
I didn’t want her to wake up and cry or make a fuss.
But how do you tie up a child?
Do you just tie them up like an adult?
But what if he breaks something or pushes the wrong way?
What if they die?
No matter what you do, it could easily die.
And Keith never wanted this precious hostage to die.
Not because he didn’t want to be executed.
If this child dies, the ransom will be blown, and if the ransom is blown, so will his plans for a debauched retirement…….
So when the two disreputable officers returned from Anubis after Keith, Keith was looking very suspicious.
Huddled and crouched like a starving beast, he stared intently at the fainted child.
“You as*hole…… finally crossed a river you shouldn’t have?”
Smokey didn’t hide his disgusted expression, and Mira threw the first punch.
Plop, plop!
Keith jumped back.
“What the f*ck……!”
“What the f*ck?! You son of a b*tch!”
“No, no, no! This was the project!”
“This was the Diamond Operation?”
Smokey asked with a skeptical tone.
Although it was hard to believe that they didn’t really know, doubts arose strongly. Nevertheless, Keith vigorously nodded his head for the time being.
Regardless of other things, Mira’s fists were difficult to withstand even with considerable strength.
“If our trash, scumbag leader insists on crossing the river that shouldn’t be crossed…”
Smokey groaned faintly, and Mira complained irritably, asking why they had attached such a weird code name to the operation.
“You crazy bastard! You damn bastards! You’re as*holes!”
“Now, wait a minute, Mira, where are you going?”
“What, do you want to get hit more?”
“No, when she wakes up, you should be here.”
Keith calmly spoke while scratching his throbbing jaw.
Mira responded after quite a while.
“Why?”
“Why? Because you’re the only woman here.”
Keith’s perspective was simple.
The hostage was a baby.
And for a baby, a mother-like figure is essential.
That way, they can eat baby food, change diapers, and…
“Wow, Keith, you’re really ignorant.”
Smoky was impressed by Keith’s ignorance, bordering on innocence.
However, this perspective, which was so simple that it was almost pure, naturally led to a disaster.
“Why the hell would that be necessary for a grown-up, you idiot!”
“Ah! How the hell would I know, you crazy bastard!”
When Nina finally opened her eyes, the situation around her was roughly like that.
While Mira and Keith were wrestling, Smokey leisurely enjoyed the spectacle, lighting a cigarette.
He even exchanged a look of amusement with another observer of the skit, the esteemed hostage.
Then, something strange dawned on him a bit late.
Turning his head to check the sofa again, Smoky, too bewildered, showcased a stunt of putting out the cigarette on the back of his hand.
Then, he began to hop around.
“Ouchouchouch…!”
Keith stopped dead in his tracks, just when he was about to lash out at his colleague who was enjoying himself by dancing around while he was being beaten.
Mira, who was driving her fist into Keith’s left eye, also stopped abruptly.
“Oops…”
Blonde hair like it was dripping with gold dust, plump rosy cheeks, eyes as blue as a lake.
The eerily pretty child had gotten up without a sound and was sitting up, staring at them quietly.
While the three criminals were frozen awkwardly, the esteemed hostage blinked her unusually large eyes cutely.
After a moment, her adorable lips pursed, and predictably, a cute voice flowed out.
“Where am I?”
It was a natural question for a child who woke up in an unfamiliar place without knowing English. And if they were the wicked villains who kidnapped a child, it was common for them to…
“What should we say?”
The three villains, each with a bounty on their heads, had the same question on their minds, making the atmosphere even more awkward.
The first to regain composure was Mira.
“I-I-I don’t know. Figure it out yourselves.”
Stammering, Mira left them, and the two men just stared dumbfoundedly at her disappearing figure.
“Where are we?”
Nina asked again.
Keith, who belatedly regained some composure, hurriedly bared his teeth at the child.
It was a smile.
“This place is called the Flower Boy Academy.”
