The Princess's Spectacular Abduction - Chapter 10
It’s unfathomable what thoughts fill that tiny head, but just imagining that rascally, almost devilish little tyke is enough to sour Ravian’s mood.
Serena, with an eye roll, approached and climbed onto Ravian’s lap.
She then soothingly stroked his arms and chest, covered in tattoos and muscles.
Serena hailed from a rather prestigious noble family in Rojas, known in social circles for her shyness.
No one could have imagined her in such a situation with a rough-and-tumble former prince.
“I’m just curious, I can’t imagine you and a little kid together, even if you’re Mercy’s sister, especially since you’re not usually one for kids, are you?”
“You seem to think you know a lot about me.”
“And you about me?”
“Well, I may not know much, but I’m familiar with this and this part.”
Her loosely draped robe fell to the floor.
Serena, like a cat, purred and accepted Ravian’s hand.
They were about to become entangled.
“Whoa…!”
“Ahhh!”
Crash!
Together, the two rolled onto the floor.
So shocked they were, screams naturally burst forth.
“What’s that, why is there suddenly a child here…”
Who could tell, Ravian, biting back his curses, quickly adjusted his pants, snuffed out his cigarette, and closed the ashtray lid.
Even so, he wondered why he suddenly cared about the smoke.
“Ahaha, hello?”
Serena, hastily redraping her robe, offered an awkward smile, while Nina, apparently having been observing them for some time, calmly said,
“You could continue, you know.”
“…..”
Speechless, Serena stared at Ravian, who looked utterly astounded.
But Nina was quite serious with her suggestion.
Even if she didn’t understand why adults did such things, it wasn’t her first time witnessing them.
The First Princess’s palace, where Nina had been living since she was a baby, hardly had anyone properly looking after it, and the servants and knights assigned there didn’t care whether Nina was around or not, engaging in such acts whenever they had a chance.
So she was used to it.
Of course, Ravian, unaware of such circumstances, could only wonder whom the devilish child resembled to become so troublesome.
Strictly speaking, this situation was entirely due to Ravian, who, ignoring the fact he brought along a young hostage, behaved as usual, rolling around wherever he pleased.
And Ravian, as always, did not know to reflect on himself.
“What on earth… Ah, forget it, why did you come here?”
“…..”
Nina hesitated for a moment, her gaze shifting between Ravian’s annoyed face and Serena.
Suddenly, she thought Serena looked a bit like Estella, whom she had seen grown up in a vision—not so much in appearance, but more in aura, or perhaps more accurately, similar to Diana.
‘Ravian likes that style too,’ Nina thought, her mood suddenly sinking, and she turned her head away petulantly.
“It was just a wrong turn.”
At one moment causing a stir, and the next, tossing out a flimsy excuse, Nina turned to leave. Ravian watched her back, pondering,
‘Is she doing this deliberately?’
The suspicion seriously crossed his mind.
Had anyone else acted so, they would have been dealt with long ago, but this brash child, on what basis did she do so?
The thought that he might be so underestimated, and yet perhaps not without reason, was infuriating.
“Wow, kids these days are really something else,”
Serena remarked, clicking her tongue in amazement.
Feeling suddenly drained, Ravian flopped down onto the sofa.
“What’s up, Ravi? Suddenly tired?”
“…..”
“By the way, how old is that kid?”
“I don’t know, stop asking.”
Irritation was welling up inside him.
And the fact that he didn’t know why he was so irritated only made it worse.
He wondered if it was really worth getting so annoyed over a six-year-old…
“Huh?”
Serena, twirling her hair, probed further.
Yet, for some reason, Ravian didn’t feel like continuing and sharply shrugged off her clinging hand.
“I’m just going to go, okay?”
“Goodbye then.”
“Always a jerk.”
He realized that now.
Ravian closed his eyes, feeling a throbbing pain.
