The Princess's Spectacular Abduction - Chapter 11
Keith groaned, looking at the untouched food on the dining table.
Veal steak, fresh salad, lobster dishes, salmon mousse, and more.
The feast delivered from an organization-owned restaurant with a top chef was quite lavish.
However, Nina hadn’t touched any of it and had instead asked where the hall was and then quickly disappeared after asking for the bedroom.
So, Keith was frustrated.
“Why isn’t she eating…?”
Ravian also thought the restaurant was good enough to please even a princess, but perhaps relying on that thug boss was a mistake.
Keith left the dining room and headed towards the bedroom he had directed the child to.
The door was ajar, so he peeked in… or was about to when he quickly recoiled in surprise.
There, by the bed where Nina lay with her back turned, was unexpectedly a glimpse of Mira’s mint-colored ponytail.
Mira always beat Keith up, even when there was no good reason.
And Keith didn’t like being beaten.
Of course, that didn’t mean he’d leave his precious young hostage alone with a woman like Mira.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing now that you’ve been left alone?
Keith asked dumbfoundedly, watching Mira suspiciously from behind the door for a moment.
“What are you doing……?”
“Wow…… she’s so white. Have you ever seen a kid this clean?”
Mira, who had been sitting at the bedside, watching Nina intently, replied without turning her head.
It was a look that could easily be misinterpreted.
“No, she’s a princess. Does that mean she’s like the slum kids?”
“Is that so? Hmph, noble children have different appearances. So cute. She’s like a doll.”
Keith’s tongue twitched as he listened to Mira admire the sleeping child.
“Any more of that and you’ll be dragged away, you.”
“On the subject of kidnappers.”
“Talk nice when there’s a baby. You’re the first one to mention the subject, and since when do you have an interest in babies?”
“Ignorant f*cker. I’m from a family of girls who almost got a part-time job as a nanny when I was growing up.”
It was obvious that even the mother of an invisible dragon wouldn’t hire Mira as a nanny, but Keith wisely didn’t voice his doubts.
Instead, he moved away to refill his growing need for nicotine.
Just then, Mercy approached.
“You crazy… did you come to watch her too?”
“What?”
A baffled expression surfaced on Mercy’s handsome face, causing Keith to feel unnecessarily embarrassed.
“Never mind that, what do we do about the baby not eating anything? It was delivered from that restaurant, but I don’t know what the issue is.”
“Have you talked to the boss?”
“…No. He seems to have guests right now.”
The kind of guests was obvious without needing to be stated.
As Keith sighed heavily and held back curses, Mercy showed a troubled smile.
“Is that so? That’s serious. Actually, I just remembered another urgent issue.”
“What’s it?”
“Clothes.”
“What…?”
“We haven’t prepared any clothes for our little one, have we?”
Silence lingered for a moment.
Keith, staring blankly at Mercy, finally muttered,
“Do babies even need to change clothes and all that…?”
“Keith, aren’t we just hopeless?”
“Damn it, right. I don’t know who the hell to turn to.”
