The Queen and the Lion - Chapter 29
Aslan wanted to go to Lysian but was too shy to approach her in front of others. He wandered around the banquet hall.
Wherever Aslan stepped, the Floreans cautiously avoided him. He knew no one, had no one to talk to, and yet everyone’s eyes were on him. Aslan, who found the whole situation burdensome, crossed the banquet hall towards the buffet in an attempt to escape people’s gazes.
A long, wide table was laden with all sorts of delicacies. Unlike the hearty Heiban dishes, the Florean food was surprisingly small, delicately decorated, and generously seasoned. It seemed to reflect the leisurely lifestyle of the Floreans.
But Aslan couldn’t care less about such food. His eyes kept following Lysian.
Suddenly, someone bumped into Aslan from behind. As soon as Aslan turned around, the person realized they had bumped into him and quickly left with a look of contempt. Aslan clicked his tongue and looked for Lysian again, but she was gone.
Not seeing Lysian, Aslan looked around the banquet hall. Perhaps she had left with Kaplan. But Kaplan was still making a presence in the middle of the banquet hall. Where had she gone? Aslan frowned.
Then a servant called out to Aslan.
“There’s an order to bring Lord Yilmaz to the Silver Tray Room.”
“…Whose?”
The servant bowed without saying a word. As much as he wanted to ask, there was only one person who could summon Aslan separately. Aslan followed the servant obediently.
There were eyes watching Aslan’s back. Aslan glanced back, but the gaze quickly disappeared into the crowd.
The Silver Tray Room was a secret space hidden near the banquet hall. As soon as Aslan entered the Silver Tray Room, someone grabbed him. As expected.
Lysian, with a strangely flushed face, stroked Aslan’s cheek and kissed him on the tip of his toes. Aslan couldn’t resist and followed Lysian’s actions.
The room was filled with gasping sounds and the repeated sound of lips meeting and parting. After a long kiss, they separated. Aslan hesitated and opened his mouth, embarrassed by the sudden situation.
“Your Majesty, now is not the time…”
“I didn’t expect you to dress up so handsomely. I can’t help myself.”
Lysian said in an excited tone. Her flushed face could not be hidden by makeup. Lysian’s fingertips traced Aslan’s chest. The clean lines of his broad shoulders and flat chest excited her even more.
Lysian was about to knock Aslan over. As usual, Aslan would have willingly let himself be swayed, but today, Prince Kaplan was at the banquet.
Aslan was still a prisoner, and although Prince Kaplan was not the king of Florea, he would eventually return to his place. He wondered if it was right for them to do this under these circumstances.
“What if there’s a diplomatic issue? What if it damages Lysian’s reputation…?” Of course, Aslan would welcome such a thing, but he couldn’t abandon Lysian just to satisfy his own desires. Aslan glanced at Lysian and stammered.
“But Prince Kaplan…”
“Just because he’s the object of your loyalty, doesn’t mean we’re close. But unfortunately, Aslan, I haven’t released you yet. Remember, you’re still my property.”
Lysian replied irritably.
Mentioning Prince Kaplan at this point was extremely unpleasant. It seemed that Aslan was more worried about the Heiban prince, who was not close to him, than about her, the Queen of Florea with whom he had just been intimate. She didn’t want to hurt his pride by mentioning his status as a prisoner, but her own pride as a woman and a queen had already been wounded.
Lysian’s delicate hand grabbed Aslan’s pants. A heavy weight entered her palm between his thighs.
