The Reward for Saving The World is a Husband - Chapter 25
It would be the first time he held hands with a woman since his mother, whom he could barely remember. He threatened her with words while intertwining his fingers with hers.
It was also the first time he allowed someone to touch him without permission. Even when she wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in it, Elias felt satisfaction, not discomfort.
Why?
Elias found himself staring at her swollen, red lips, made plump from his inexperienced kissing, and he instinctively leaned in to kiss her again.
It was not out of pity or anything else. This was a desire that made her lunge her way, that overrode any suspicions about her identity.
Her body, clearly visible through the wet, clinging cloth, was irresistibly tempting. For the first time in his life, he was overwhelmed by a lust he could hardly control.
He could finally understand those fools who lost their fortunes to courtesans.
But why her, of all people?
Was it because she was beautiful?
Yes, he had to admit it.
The woman was stunning, so much so that it was hard to take his eyes off her once she was in his sight. Even when he was trying to find flaws, he could find none.
From their first encounter, when she lay wounded, he had been captivated, staring blankly at her. Now, with a healthy flush in her cheeks, her appearance was even more enchanting.
But…
But was that really all?
Was it simply this face, this alluring and soft female form that he coveted so much?
Elias had been semi-forced to attend social gatherings every season due to the invitations that regularly flew in from the royal family.
Even if no one particularly memorable came to mind, it wasn’t as though he had never seen a woman of this caliber of beauty among the throngs of dazzling flowers in those places.
Could it be, then, her fervent and unwavering declarations that she desired only him?
‘All I want is you.’
Certainly, that’s what anyone would say when in love.
‘All I need is Elias.’
…Believing that would be foolish.
‘I don’t understand at all.’
The only thing he knew for certain was that he had to keep her by his side until he figured it out. He couldn’t let Beric or the saint take her away.
He had to hold onto her, calling her his lover, any other name or whatever else it took.
‘Who knows? Maybe if I find her parents, we could even marry, just as she wishes.’
Even if he didn’t find them or she turned out to be a commoner, it didn’t matter. He could create her background himself.
If, before then, his interest in her vanished as if it had all been a lie, well, that would be… unavoidable.
‘I’d rather that happen.’
He cupped the back of Elesha’s neck with one hand, keeping her close, and looked down at her with lowered eyes.
Her irises, which shifted to myriad colors depending on the light, were now fixed on him. Her cheeks were as flushed as her tear-filled eyes.
“Elias…”
She called his name in a sweet voice.
“This feels really good.
It was an innocent reaction, as if she were someone experiencing a kiss for the first time.
“Do it more. Okay?”
Even without her asking, he fully intended to.
However, Elias was curious.
If he grasped and kneaded her soft brxxst with his firm hand, would she react just as she did now?
He wondered what it would be like if he slid his hand under the hem of her wet skirts, parted her thighs, and pressed himself tightly against her.
‘Considering she wants a child… this might be trivial for her.’
His body, in its prime, desired far more than this, so it was fortunate. Like those who keep lovers, he could take her as he pleased and give her just enough of what she wanted.
“When we return.”
He glanced briefly at the pillars of the gate visible in the distance, then lightly stole another kiss from her lips as he spoke.
“Let’s continue.”
“Alright, that sounds good.”
Staring at Elesha as she replied with a bright smile, Elias couldn’t resist and once again pressed his lips to hers.
“…..!”
Her eyes widened momentarily, but Elesha quickly parted her lips to receive him.
Until the carriage stopped in front of the gate, he savored and explored her thoroughly, relentlessly and passionate.
Not once did he realize, not even a little, that his usually cold rationality had completely vanished.
