The Reward for Saving The World is a Husband - Chapter 26
Unfortunately, the promise to do all sorts of pleasant things when we returned had to be postponed. The royal family of Lucendria had summoned Elias.
A man who was presumably a viscount from the palace, waited by the gate to take Elias directly to the imperial palace. However, Elias refused to accompany him, insisting that he would take me to Rachdel first.
“Please proceed ahead. I will not be late entering the palace.”
“…Understood. However, you must not keep His Majesty waiting for too long.”
“Of course.”
After concluding the conversation and returning to the carriage, Elias naturally took my hand. It had only been a few hours since he had frowned at me for holding his hand, yet now it seemed perfectly normal.
‘It seems becoming his mistress was the right decision.’
It wasn’t just that he held my hand first; I was also very pleased with his attitude of prioritizing me over keeping the Emperor, the ruler of the empire, waiting.
Once we arrived in Rachdel, Elias took me directly to his bedroom.
“Whatever you need, whether it’s books or anything else, my aide will bring it all here, so don’t leave the bedroom.”
“…..”
I glanced at the man who listened to Elias’s command with a hardened face. He seemed bewildered by Elias’s behavior.
“Callen, make sure to take good care of Elesha.”
“…Yes, understood.”
In accordance with Elias’s instructions, a warm, fragrant bath was swiftly prepared, along with a change of clothes.
Placing me, still in the clothes I had worn at the temple, into the bath, Elias knelt beside it, making eye contact with me as he spoke.
“For now, my personal physician will treat your wounds. At dawn, I’ll invite a priest to heal you, so get some rest.”
“When will you return?”
Elias hesitated, seemingly uncertain of his schedule, before answering.
“…As soon as possible.”
“Alright. Don’t worry and go ahead.”
Elias gazed at me for a moment as I spoke, then pressed his fingers to his brow and let out a long sigh.
“I wish I could.”
“I won’t do anything reckless. I won’t go anywhere, and I won’t meet with your brother if he comes.”
“Good. Keep that promise.”
As he moved to stand up, I quickly grabbed his arm and planted a soft kiss on his lips. His eyebrows shot up in surprise.
“I’ll be waiting, Elias.”
I smiled brightly and began to pull back, but he leaned down, following my movements.
He stole another kiss, and then another. Once, twice, and as the number of kisses grew, they became more urgent. Suddenly, his tongue delved deep into my mouth, insistent and hungry.
“Mmm…”
It was as if he was trying to take something from me, relentlessly exploring every inch of my mouth.
His hand brushed my cheek, pushing stray hair aside, and then it lingered, gently stroking my earlobe. A strange, tingling pleasure shot through my entire body.
It was both a dull ache and an electrifying tickle, making me press my knees together and rub my thighs against each other, but that teasing sensation blooming somewhere deep inside refused to fade. I didn’t want him to stop, so I gripped his collar tightly and refused to let go.
Our breaths grew ragged, and the sound of wet, sliding friction echoed in my ears. My heart thundered in my chest, pounding so rapidly it almost hurt, much like the moments when I swung my sword hundreds of times in battle.
It felt as though the world had shrunk, leaving only the two of us.
Somehow, at some point, my body had pressed entirely against his. His arm had wrapped tightly around my waist, pulling me in closer.
His knee slipped between my awkwardly spread legs, and I nearly ended up straddling his thick thigh. My hands fumbled upwards until they found their way around his neck, pulling him even closer.
Something firm pressed steadily against the spot that had been tingling endlessly. In that moment, my body jolted up of its own accord.
“Ugh…!”
The moan that sprang from my throat lingered between our mouths before dissolving away.
Elias stopped moving and opened his eyes to look at me. When our gazes locked unexpectedly, I noticed a fierce, turbulent desire swirling violently within his eyes.
It gradually faded, but the intensity of it was undeniable, a clear presence that left no room for doubt.
