The Reward for Saving The World is a Husband - Chapter 49
Those entrusted with key roles in the order were well-equipped to handle unexpected situations, having served many saintesses with bizarre demands.
They were always prepared to carry out strange commands to the best of their ability.
“It’s late. You can take your time with it.”
“There are only four days left until the celebration.”
His grumbling, though mixing with nagging, pricked at Heerin’s conscience.
“But…”
Crow’s demeanor shifted as he asked in a serious tone,
“What if Count Rachdel refuses the invitation to Tenaclade? Do you have a plan for that?”
The sharp question made Heerin wrack her brain, and she finally remembered Crow’s earlier comment about the count’s strong sense of responsibility, managing to devise a solution.
“What if I propose bringing the woman?”
“Who?”
“You, of course. Say that Tenaclade requested it, and I’m sure the count won’t refuse.”
Crow’s expression clearly said he wanted to take a leave of absence right then and there, but he replied.
“I’ll depart as soon as I get permission to use the gate. Should I not survive the journey, please don’t seek revenge for me, and consider Lieutenant Doren as my successor.”
After patiently listening to Crow’s lengthy “final words,” Heerin said,
“Thank you. God will not forget your hard work.”
Although the god was currently screaming,
Danger! Danger!
Crow’s hardships were clearly overlooked, but Heerin thought she would definitely commend his composure once things calmed down.

When Elias returned, many things changed.
The most noticeable change was the meals. As much as I enjoyed potage, which I felt I could eat forever without getting tired of it, the variety of dishes that made my eyes widen in amazement couldn’t compare.
Elias made sure I was present in every one of his meals, looking after me diligently.
Even though he seemed focused on eating, he would often serve me portions of the food I glanced at or cut things into bite-sized pieces.
I could see the servants looking on in shock at his actions.
Another change was my clothing. Not only had the material of my sleepwear and undergarments improved, but I also now had several beautiful and ornate outfits.
While they were somewhat uncomfortable to wear and move in, they sparkled enough to make it worthwhile. After all, they were adorned with valuable minerals classified as jewels in this world.
In other words, these clothes were…
‘I can’t believe I’m obtaining materials for reviving the soul stones like this.’
They were part of the things I had been planning to search for. Of course, I still needed much more, but even a small amount could be useful.
‘Maybe I could discreetly use a few of these gems…’
“You seem to like it,” Elias remarked, noticing how I kept smoothing and touching the hem of my skirt.
“There are some talented designers in the capital. We can go get more made.”
“…..!”
Given their craftsmanship, they would surely be expensive. The prices would definitely differ from those of this remote area.
Knowing the state of Rachdel’s territory to some extent, I felt grateful that he was willing to lavish such valuable gifts on me.
Though I already had plans in my mind to turn Elias into the wealthiest man in the empire, he probably had no idea of what I was thinking.
Accepting his generosity, even though it seemed over the top, I decided to ask something else.
“Do we have to go to the capital?”
“Most likely… I’ll have to visit soon,” Elias replied.
His words reminded me of something crucial.
“Oh no…”
“What is it?”
The translation device I was using was quite advanced, with an automatic learning function. However, it didn’t have the ability to automatically adjust to honorifics or casual speech depending on the person.
In other words, I had to learn proper honorific speech myself!
