The Runaway Maid is Loved by the Archmage - Chapter 20
{ – To Maili Amasto, Young Lady of the Marquisate –
Greetings, Young Lady, this is Roina.
I hope you are doing well.
I’m really making good use of the gift you sent me…
…
…the warm picnic we had under the sun, surrounded by fragrant flowers, is an unforgettable memory.
The kindness you showed me, Young Lady Maili, was the most precious thing in my life.
You took away the trash I said I would discard…
…
…I am really happy here.
You must understand why I’m saying this.
I truly don’t want to leave this place. It’s a little disappointing not to see the Crown Prince every day…
But I now think of all the times you came to visit me and looked after me as memories.
I hope you don’t come looking for me anymore.
Roina – }
Maili’s lips trembled as she tried to control her expression. She quickly crumpled the paper and stuffed it into her bosom. The paper was full of polite greetings and a sense of regret at parting, but considering the relationship between the writer and Maili, the contents of the letter felt rather contrived.
Moreover, the letter contained words that seemed to deliberately reverse the events that had actually occurred, and expressed gratitude for a gift that hadn’t even been given. If this were just an insignificant letter of well-wishes, it would be fine, but with everything written in such a reversed manner, the intention behind it became glaringly obvious.
Perhaps Roina was in a dangerous situation and was requesting rescue from Maili. So desperate that she was resorting to such a method, one that might or might not even be of any use.
Maili quietly shook herself off and, with a stern expression, headed toward the parlor.
A conversation from a few days ago between the Archmage and the Crown Prince came to mind. The mage had suspected that the Crown Prince had hidden Roina. The Crown Prince had denied it, claiming he knew nothing of it… but what if the Crown Prince had lied?
If Roina were just a mere slave-born maid, there would be no need for such things. But if, as the Archmage said, she possessed the talent of a star, it would be a different story. If the Crown Prince were to hide even a single Archmage and claim them as part of the royal family, it would undoubtedly be to his advantage.
Maili bit her lip tightly and hurriedly left the palace.

Roberto returned sooner than expected, his usual arrogant demeanor evident. Roina instinctively clutched her hand when she met his gaze. It was the same hand that had touched his earlier. She wanted to run to the pillar and touch it again, to feel connected to him, but Ethan, the Crown Prince’s loyal knight, stood in her way.
She forced a smile.
“Your Highness.”
“No,” he said, his tone cold. Roina bit her lip and tried again,
“Welcome home, my lord. I’ve missed you so much…”
She knelt and began to undo his robes.
Roberto watched her with a look of satisfaction. He didn’t know it, but her rebellious eyes, hidden behind her submissive facade, excited him even more.
She was like a forbidden fruit, something he couldn’t resist. A jewel he had discovered in the dirt, a fallen star. He had claimed her before that arrogant magician could. She was his.
Roberto felt his desire growing as he watched her.
Roina slowly undressed him, her touch hesitant. It was humiliating, but she continued. Her eyes betrayed her disgust, but she forced herself to continue.
Roberto groaned in pleasure as she took him into her mouth. She could feel his arousal growing with each stroke of her tongue.
“Ah… Roina…” Roberto sighed, his blue eyes glazed over.
Ethan, taking a cue from his master, approached Roina. He began to undress her, leaving her in nothing but a garter belt and stockings. His rough hands caressed her bosoms, his fingers teasing her peak.
