The Sand Bride - Chapter 15
Hakan licked his dry lips. The woman was completely naked, not a thread of clothing on her. Her n*****s, swollen from being bitten and sucked, trembled as if shivering from the sudden cold.
When she finally noticed Hakan standing in front of her, her eyes widened in realization. She hurriedly curled up, trying to cover her naked body. Her eyes, now adjusted to the darkness, focused on Hakan, who stood before her.
Seeing her like this, Hakan felt a tightness in his lower abdomen. Though the early morning dulled his senses, a rush of heat surged to his head, sharpening his mind. It had been two months since he’d last been with a woman. As a Kemut tribesman with a strong libido, his body was practically screaming for release.
Hakan’s eyes narrowed in conflict. It was true that this was the woman his brother had been with, and that made him uneasy. But right now, Hakan wasn’t in a state to think rationally.
The thought crossed his mind that maybe Karzhen had left her here as a gift for his younger brother. Under normal circumstances, this would have been an absurd idea, but his lust had clouded his judgment.
Even if he didn’t go all the way, surely it wouldn’t hurt to have her suck him off. But before Hakan could speak, Karzhen entered the tent, pushing the flap aside.
“What are you doing here?”
Karzhen’s expression was displeased. Hakan turned around, looking equally annoyed.
“This is my tent, brother.”
“Ah…… right. Then go sleep in mine.”
“I tried, but it’s too uncomfortable. I thought my body was going to break from how hard the bed is.”
“What’s so hard about it? You just like things too soft. You’ve got weird tastes, you know.”
Hakan frowned, suddenly branded as the brother with strange preferences. Karzhen strode over to the bed, crouched down, and pulled Esther into his arms. He grabbed her b******s roughly and let out a mischievous laugh.
“See, she probably likes it hard too.”
His hand slid between her thighs, making it painfully clear what he meant by “hard.” Esther’s face turned bright red, and she lowered her eyes, embarrassed by the lewd joke. Hakan didn’t look away.
Karzhen finally laid Esther flat on the bed and climbed on top of her. He grabbed her hands, which were covering her chest, and pinned them above her head. Esther struggled, letting out a terrified scream.
Karzhen paused, and she twisted her body, trying to pull her hands free. It was a direct refusal, something she had rarely shown before. Karzhen glared at her, annoyed.
“What’s wrong with you all of a sudden?”
“…….”
Esther kept her eyes tightly shut and shook her head. Karzhen’s expression shifted from irritation to anger in an instant. Hakan clicked his tongue. He knew his brother well—how capricious he could be when he wanted something.
Of course, Karzhen wasn’t one to lose control of his emotions without reason, but right now, he had no reason to hold back. He had no intention of suppressing his desires.
But Esther couldn’t move, even as she saw Karzhen’s angry face. Her heart raced nervously. She had hidden the poison, but when the captives had walked away, the faint sound had woken Karzhen.
In a panic, Esther had hidden the poison under the blanket. She had been so tense, hiding her face behind her hair, that Karzhen hadn’t noticed her unusual nervousness. After all, she was always tense when he woke up in the morning.
If only he had gone back to sleep, but Karzhen yawned a couple of times and lightly tapped Esther’s forehead.
“Go back to sleep.”
Even if he hadn’t said it, her exhausted body was begging for rest, but she couldn’t just lie down and fall asleep. Esther hesitated, then mumbled a reply.
“I-I can’t sleep…….”
“Oh? Should we go another round, then?”
It was a crude joke, but to Esther, it was terrifying. She quickly lay back down and pulled the blanket over herself.
Karzhen chuckled a few times, then left the tent.
Once the thick leather flap stopped swaying, Esther sat up and grabbed one of her discarded clothes from the floor, stuffing it under the blanket. She planned to hide the poison in the pocket of the clothes.
But then Hakan showed up. Esther, pretending to sleep under the blanket, felt like crying. What if they found out? Hope, tension, and the fear of failure gripped her.
Hakan pulled the blanket off. Esther was terrified. Hakan was staring at her so intently. Had they found out? Had they discovered the poison?
“What are you doing here?”
