The Sickly Transmigrator Hides the Fact that He Became a Puppy - Chapter 9.2
“I can’t believe I have to leave you with someone as violent as her, Louie. Really makes me anxious.”
“If you’re so anxious, then don’t leave him with me.”
“But Louie is a genius, so take good care of our immature Auntie for me.”
Mi Jin’s business had hit its break-even point last month, so Han Joon suggested she shut down her stores and take a break, using her vacation to take care of Louie. His ridiculous suggestion made Mi Jin sigh deeply.
“…Are you going to school or not?”
“Go on, go on. Just don’t leave Louie with Grandpa, okay? He’s picky about people, and he has constipation issues, so he needs to go outside to… you know. If he starts whining and scratching the door, you have to open it right away. Within one second, or it’s bad for him to hold it in too long.”
“You’re stressing me out so much I’m going to get sick. What are you doing, dropping off an ex? Just go already.”
“And remember, Louie is a genius dog. He even watches educational channels.”
At that, Yi Hyeon, who’d been lying quietly, flinched.
“Get real. A dog watching educational channels?”
“It’s true! He even knows how to use the remote.”
“Look at this guy! Enough with the lies, and just get to school.”
“I’m serious! I saw it on my home cam.”
Yi Hyeon had noticed the CCTV in Han Joon’s garden before, but he’d never imagined there would be a home cam in his room. Realizing Han Joon had likely been watching his every move, Yi Hyeon felt so embarrassed that he covered his face with both paws.
“Anyway, Auntie, please look after him until I find a good dog daycare. You’re the only person I trust.”
“Yeah, yeah, I get it. Now shut up and go to school already.”
Pushed out the door by Mi Jin, Han Joon left reluctantly, unable to finish his affectionate speech about his dog. He walked towards the stairs but then turned around, pressing his face up to the glass door to look back at Yi Hyeon, mouthing words silently.
“No matter how well Auntie treats you, she’s just someone passing through. So don’t get too close. Let’s keep some boundaries, okay? And definitely stay away from Grandpa. Got it? Especially… oh, ouch!”
As he pressed his face against the glass, blowing fog onto it, water droplets suddenly splattered onto him. Chairman Joo, who had been watering the garden, was standing there with the hose aimed squarely at Han Joon, glaring.
“Our grandpa sure has good hearing.”
Han Joon muttered as he brushed off his clothes, drenched from the unexpected morning shower, and headed down the garden steps. Yi Hyeon sat by the door, watching until Han Joon disappeared, then slumped onto the floor.
“Oh? What’s wrong, Louie? Are you pouting because your precious ‘brother’ isn’t around?”
Mi Jin, observing him, stepped out of the room for a moment. She returned shortly, holding a round, pretty, pale yellow golf ball.
“Louie, look at this!”
The rolling golf ball caught the corner of Yi Hyeon’s eye, and in that moment, his little furry backside gave a twitch. He arched his back, tail high, as his spine curved in a graceful line.
His dark eyes darted left and right, his tail giving a gentle wag. After wiggling his hindquarters for a while, he finally gave in to the temptation, racing toward the golf ball with a joyful sprint.

‘Ugh, I’m exhausted.’
Possibly because he was still in the body of a young puppy, just a little bit of play left Yi Hyeon feeling drowsy. Once his eyes started to droop, he’d quickly doze off. Carrying the golf ball in his mouth, he trotted over to a spot with a good view of the front gate. He carefully pawed at the ground until it felt just right, then curled up into a little ball.
‘When I open my eyes, I hope Han Joon will be here.’
With the golf ball snuggled against his cheek, Yi Hyeon drifted off for a cozy morning nap.

Grrumble, grrumble.
Feeling a strange sensation in his stomach, Yi Hyeon, who had been lying on his back with his belly exposed, quickly scrambled to his feet.
