The Succubus, The Priest, and His Fall Into Lustful Heat - Chapter 32
“Doing the dishes? Yes, I understand!”
“Hmm, hmm. Uh… do you have someone you’re meeting?”
“What?”
The work of a maid was harder than Ashtel expected.
Here a sweep, there a sweep, here a wipe, there a wipe again. And why were there so many dishes to wash?
Above all, as a succubus, she had never engaged in such laborious work before. Therefore, she made frequent mistakes, earning sharp glares from others. She often found herself panting due to the continuous flow of her demonic energy.
‘And after a few days of work, there are those who start to bother me.’
Ashtel pouted. Some looked like unsightly sweet potatoes but had an uncanny knack for clinging.
After brushing each one off, hours had somehow passed.
‘Ughhhh.’
To meet Payne, she had to hover around him.
Because he became e-ect whenever he was near a woman, Payne avoided not just Ashtel but all female devotees and maids, making it difficult to encounter him without seeking him out.
Moreover, he seemed to be moving around with some knight named Duvalkan, making it even harder to approach.
‘I should go meet him like before…’
This temple cleaning seemed never-ending. Do humans really live like this? Cleaning until their life ends? Is everything really over in just 70 years?
Ashtel sighed deeply.
‘…I tried not to cause trouble, but I might have to use some magic.’
Otherwise, she couldn’t achieve her purpose for being here.
Ashtel rolled her sunset-colored eyes and stealthily slipped into a deserted area. Now that she had completed all her awakenings, she was powerful enough to use her abilities in Medialle.
She could transform and also create the lubricating nectar she used on Payne’s rear.
‘It was so good…’
She almost got lost in blissful thoughts but shook them off and wiggled her fingers.
Under her palm, a faint magical circle formed, barely visible unless looked at closely.
‘Maybe I should try making a clone with Carmen’s tool?’
It was challenging alone, but with Carmen’s experimental tools, it might be possible. As Ashtel pondered this, someone touched her shoulder.
“Yikes?!”
Startled because she hadn’t sensed anyone approaching, Ashtel jumped. She was about to cast a spell, which only added to her shock. The sizable reaction startled the other party too.
“Oops, Maid, why such a fright?”
“Uh, uh, uh, Knight Du… Duvalkan?”
“Sir Duvalkan, if you please.”
Duval or not, knights were a danger. That’s why she had been jittery around Payne whenever this guy was nearby.
Ashtel rolled her eyes and stepped back, but Duvalkan advanced a step, his armor clanking ominously.
“Do you… have something to say…?”
Her voice naturally quieted. Her shoulders hunched, and her gaze darted about aimlessly, touching on anything but him. Not sure how her diminished figure appeared to him, Duvalkan looked at her with a neutral face before his lips curled into a slight smile.
“Are you looking for Father Payne?”
“What?”
“Yesterday and today too. You seem to be looking for him a lot.”
Did this mean he had been watching her since yesterday?
Ashtel’s eyes sharpened instantly. Sensing her thoughts, Duvalkan raised his hands and laughed heartily.
“I just happened to be near the chapel the maid managed. I’m not that sinister.”
“….And why about Father Payne? Was he looking for me too?”
“No, not that.”
Duvalkan looked down at her again.
Their eyes met, but Ashtel quickly looked away. Those intense blue eyes seemed to pierce right through her, which she didn’t appreciate.
‘You don’t know I’m a demon, right?’
Eh, surely not.
It made sense for Payne, but not for Duvalkan, who had known her for too short a time to notice.
Trying to calm herself, she awaited his answer when an unexpected bombshell dropped.
“I’m just intrigued by you, maid.”
“…What?”
“Do you have time now? I’d like to talk.”
Ashtel’s mouth hung open in shock.
She was sure she had cast a charm to disrupt people from recognizing her beauty, yet why did the men of this cursed temple keep fluttering around her?
‘It’s meant for Payne!’
Of course, Payne himself would have been clueless about this fact.
