The Succubus, The Priest, and His Fall Into Lustful Heat - Chapter 75
‘…Payne, you liar!’
As Ashtel clung to Payne, wrapping her arms around his waist and back, she began to tremble. Though his lower body was still hidden, the unmistakable scent of a male e–ction was already wafting up from below. It meant he had gotten hard the moment she held him.
“…”
“…”
So much for his grand declarations.
He said it was all fine now, but was it really?
“Father Payne, this…”
“Please, let go. Isn’t this enough?”
Before Ashtel could say anything more, Payne pushed her away. His ears were flushed bright red, but his face remained expressionless. If it weren’t for the distinct scent, Ashtel might not have noticed his condition.
“Miss, you shouldn’t hug someone like this recklessly.”
“Recklessly? This is important!”
If she hadn’t done this, she might have been deceived.
‘Payne… do you really dislike being touched by me so much?’
That thought led Ashtel’s mind in a certain direction.
“I want to see if you’re really e-ect or not.”
“What… what are you saying?”
“Why not? I need to make sure!”
She knew he was already e-ect, but she couldn’t rely solely on scent as evidence. She needed to see it with her own eyes to be certain.
‘If he doesn’t improve, it’ll be my fault if Payne stays this way.’
Ashtel’s elder sister, Sermedes, had set a deadline. They had a month to cure his condition, and she couldn’t afford to retreat now.
“It’s not e-ect, please remove your hand!”
“Just let me check. I only need to confirm!”
“No, wait, just a moment…!”
As soon as she touched him, she could feel the familiar shape through his thick robe. Despite the deserted corridor, the open space made Payne feel a sense of crisis. He grabbed Ashtel’s wrist to stop her.
With a swift motion, Ashtel’s eyes widened as her arm was lifted. Payne took a step closer and pushed her back, causing her to collide with the cold marble behind her.
She came to her senses, finding herself in a rather compromising position, looking up at him.
Payne’s cheeks were still flushed red.
“Stop, stop… I told you to stop.”
“…Father Payne, you were e-ect.”
He bit his lip.
As he was showing an assertive attitude in such a close space, Payne wanted to back away quickly. However, Ashtel held onto his arm.
“You were e-ect. You were lying, weren’t you?”
“…No.”
“What do you mean, ‘no’?”
“It’s just… you…”
Payne swallowed hard, uttering words he hadn’t expected to say.
“You touched me, so…”
“…What?”
“You touched me.”
It was true. She had briefly touched him to check if he was e-ect. But that was all.
“It was just a quick touch!”
“…”
“Are you saying you got e-ect just from that?”
Embarrassed and ashamed, Payne nodded. He thought that without admitting this, he wouldn’t be able to dispel Ashtel’s suspicions.
But knowing this was a lie, Ashtel rubbed her forehead. Whatever the case, it was clear that Payne truly wanted to distance himself from her.
“…I understand.”
Ashtel backed away calmly. To be honest, she didn’t expect Payne to reject her touch so vehemently, even to the point of lying.
‘He was fine until now…’
The way Payne pushed her away had once seemed part of his character, and it had been attractive.
But not today.
Ashtel began to think that perhaps it wasn’t Payne’s pure and devoted heart that was causing this, but rather something about her that made him reject her. Perhaps there was something about her that didn’t meet his standards or expectations.
This gloomy speculation made Ashtel feel deeply disheartened.
“It’s almost time for confessions. You should go.”
With an unusually calm tone, she bid him farewell, causing Payne to hesitate. Despite his intention to reject her, seeing her sadness made it hard for him to leave.
But this was a decision he had made after much torment throughout the night.
“…Thank you for everything.”
Payne bowed deeply with impeccable courtesy and turned to walk away.
* * *
Having told lies, Payne felt that this confession might be more for himself than for his parishioners.
‘…I hurt Miss Maid.’
He wondered if she would understand, given that he was in an unavoidable situation. After returning to the temple the previous evening and through to the next morning, he had been contemplating the situation.
Ashtel had a family. They wouldn’t know what their daughter or sister was doing at the temple. Just that thought alone was enough to drown him in guilt, and considering that he had actually attacked her the previous night, the weight of his actions was unbearable.
‘…It shouldn’t have happened. It shouldn’t have.’
No matter how in heat he was.
