The Succubus, The Priest, and His Fall Into Lustful Heat - Chapter 85
Chapter 4. The Curse of Humanity
Ashtel stirred under the faint warmth of a light brushing over her closed eyes. Normally, she’d grumble, pull the covers over her head, and demand more sleep.
But this time, there were no covers—only her bare skin covered in a mess of bodily fluids. The feeling snapped her wide awake.
‘Oh no, what happened to Payne?’
The first thing that crossed her mind after regaining consciousness was to look for the man she cherished. The last thing she remembered was him closing his eyes, utterly exhausted, so it was only natural for Ashtel to worry about him now.
But just after she rubbed her heavy eyes, she felt something cold pressing against her neck.
“Don’t move.”
Ashtel froze in place. Slowly turning her head, she was met with the sight of silver hair gleaming under the pale moonlight. Beneath that, cold, composed eyes—dark as the night sky.
“P-Payne… I mean, Father.”
Her voice was hoarse. Having returned to her human form, her recovery was slow.
Her hand instinctively reached to touch her neck, only to feel a sharp sting as her fingers brushed against something cold and dangerous.
“Huh…?”
There was a small silver dagger pressed against her throat.
Strangely, she didn’t feel fear. Raised as the pampered youngest daughter of the sacred Asti tree’s succubus clan, Ashtel had little sense of personal danger.
“I said don’t move.”
She had no choice but to follow. The one holding the knife needed to make her realize the threat she was under.
“W-what is… What’s happening?”
Her innocent, bewildered eyes turned toward Payne.
Her gaze was still soft, almost playful, as if nothing had changed. But Payne wasn’t fooled.
Though both of them were still unclothed, the atmosphere between them was now tense and charged, completely different from before they had fallen asleep.
Payne looked at her with a calm yet cold expression, his eyes like a curtain drawn across a distant world.
It was then that Ashtel noticed something odd.
Her back didn’t feel bare.
‘Wings?’
She glanced downward, and there it was—her tail too, the very one she had used to poke him.
‘Why… why?’
She distinctly remembered putting everything away before she had passed out. Shape-shifting was second nature to her, more natural than breathing, and there was no room for mistakes.
‘…Could it be?’
Ashtel hesitantly asked after swallowing nervously
“Did we… keep going while I was asleep?”
“What?”
“I mean, did you… f–k me while I passed out?”
“Are you seriously saying that right now?”
The small dagger under her chin trembled slightly, reminding Ashtel that it could easily pierce her skin if it wanted to.
When she realized the situation was irreversible, she clamped her mouth shut. She squeezed her eyes closed in defeat.
‘This is a disaster.’
It was all so simple in hindsight.
Ashtel had carefully hidden her wings and tail, changing her hair color to match her human disguise, then fallen asleep beside Payne.
But not Payne. He might have passed out, but hadn’t slept ‘well’.
Despite their long night of s-x, the heat in his body hadn’t cooled down. So Payne woke up after fainting, not with Ashtel’s sleeping magic. His pent-up desire had likely flared up again as soon as he saw Ashtel’s bare form next to him.
And what happened next was obvious.
He must have kept going, thrusting again and again, releasing his pent-up energy and draining his essence. There was no other explanation for why her wings and tail had reappeared.
Despite her best efforts to maintain her human form in Medialle after her second awakening, the intense strain on her body would have caused her transformation to falter, at least partially. That explained why only her wings and tail had slipped back into their natural form.
“Uh… Payne.”
“Don’t say my name.”
Of course, when Payne woke up, the first thing he saw was Ashtel’s long tail and dark wings. Naturally, he would have come to only one conclusion:
‘There’s a demon beside me.’
Ashtel’s mind tried to figure out what to do. This wasn’t supposed to happen.
She hadn’t planned to reveal her true identity like this—not that she ever made specific plans with Payne, but still, this sudden disaster was far beyond anything she’d anticipated.
As Payne clenched his teeth, clearly struggling with his own thoughts, he asked.
“Where is the maid?”
Ashtel’s face contorted into confusion.
Where was she? She was right in front of him!
“Ah…”
And then it hit her.
Of course. In Payne’s mind, the demon from his dreams must have been disguised as the human maid, Sue. So in reality, when he woke up to find her wings and tail exposed, he assumed the same thing—only now the disguise had slipped.
He thought he was still looking at some demon who had been pretending to be Sue all along.
