The Succubus, The Priest, and His Fall Into Lustful Heat - Chapter 89
Ashtel returned to her hut and immediately tied up Payne.
She wrapped him in a clean cloth—honestly, she wanted to keep him visible, but it was cold, so she had to be careful—and then she turned his arms behind his back and swiftly tied them with rope.
She also secured his knees and ankles—truthfully, this was her first time tying someone up, so she wasn’t quite sure how tightly or where to wrap the rope. In the end, she managed to bind him.
Looking down at him after securing the ropes, a rather dangerous vibe filled the air. While Ashtel wasn’t particularly fond of tying up and tormenting men, something about Payne made her think that he might enjoy some naughty play in this situation.
However, now wasn’t the time for such thoughts.
She was sweating profusely as she picked up the communication device.
—Oh, why?
The voice on the other end was, of course, Carmen. She received Ashtel’s contact in just a few seconds today. Although it wasn’t the first time she had heard it, Carmen’s firm voice brought her comfort, causing Ashtel to sniffle.
“Sis, what should I do?”
—What’s wrong?
“I’ve been discovered.”
—…No way, as a succubus?
“Yeah.”
Fortunately, Carmen didn’t get angry. Instead, she calmly raised her voice.
—Who found out? When and where?
“Payne. Just now. In Medialle.”
—Is there anyone else?
“No.”
If there were, Ashtel and Payne wouldn’t be here. They would probably be imprisoned in the underground dungeon of Medialle under changed circumstances.
It would likely be her lying there, arms and legs bound. Perhaps the guards who witnessed her confinement would have developed sinister feelings, just as Ashtel had felt toward Payne. It would be like something out of an e****c novel she had read.
That ….. sounded fun.
As her mind wandered, Ashtel sniffled again, pretending to be pitiful. In reality, she had another reason for contacting Carmen.
“So, about that, Sis…”
—No.
“Why not? Just hear me out!”
—No way. What are you trying to do right now?
But Carmen was more resolute than she expected. Cold and sharp as a knife.
—Kill that man immediately.
“Sister!”
That blade could easily sever Payne’s head.
—Why? This is the only way. If your identity has been exposed, you need to eliminate the witness first. Hurry, before he divulges anything to others.
“That’s cruel… so cold… Payne can’t speak. Because he’s at my house.”
—At home? In your hut?
“Yeah.”
—That’s good. It’ll be easy to kill him.
This was not leading to a productive conversation. Ashtel raised her drooping eyebrows and spoke firmly.
“From start to finish, I’ve been the one tormenting Payne. Why does he have to die? That won’t happen.”
—Isn’t our purpose to torment sentient beings?
“Payne is an exception!”
It was a sweet yet defiant resistance. Carmen evaluated the situation and asked,
—Then what will you do?
“Can’t you use your tools to erase Payne’s memories?”
—What?
Carmen suspected from the beginning that there was an ulterior motive. She had anticipated a request from Ashtel ever since she started sniffling in that pitiful voice.
Carmen was sharp, and she knew her youngest sister well enough to read her intentions.
So, when she wanted to know what Ashtel would say next, she said this:
—Do you think it’s easy to mess with someone’s brain?
“No. That’s why I’m asking you.”
Carmen was the smartest among the sisters. She was wise and cared for Ashtel. Right?
Seeing Ashtel now sweet-talking her with a cutesy voice made Carmen let out a deep sigh.
—I don’t have such a tool.
“Really?”
—Yeah. I can create confusion, but a tool that erases memories? If I had one, I would’ve been using it long ago.
Well, she had never heard of such a thing among Carmen’s many tools.
“…What does confusion do?”
—It’s a curse that makes you unable to tell whether the sky is up or the ground is down. It’ll confuse whether this is saltwater or freshwater.
In other words, it would make someone a fool.
“Something like that won’t work!”
—So there’s no way. Just kill him.
“No!”
Ashtel’s persistent opposition wore Carmen down. There was a limit to indulging her youngest sister’s whims.
—I’ll tell our eldest sister.
That threat was enough to silence Ashtel. Although it was something she often resorted to, there was no more threatening ultimatum than that.
“…”
The threat was indeed effective. Ashtel’s face turned pale, and she fell silent.
—You brought him to your hut, so if you’re going to kill him, now’s the chance. If you leave him be, he’ll eventually return to the temple and reveal your identity to the priests.
“…Then the demons in Singria will be in danger.”
Ashtel was okay. She could just run away quickly. However, the temple would surely issue a large-scale demon extermination order after learning of her existence.
