“Nobody in my previous life ever showed such support…”
Grace’s lips curled up slightly.
“I’m truly grateful.”
The maids, who had been saying various things earlier, fell silent at the sight of Grace’s faint smile that had appeared after a long time.
‘Our Madam…’
‘Our Madam, who hasn’t smiled even once since last year…’
‘Our Madam is smiling!’
In past years, Grace’s condition had been deteriorating, to the point that it was hard for her to find anything amusing. However, one day, she started coming out of her room and diligently engaging in various activities.
The maids who took care of Grace were moved whenever she showed them any distinct signs of positive changes in her.
While the maids were experiencing this moment of awe, Grace spoke up.
“Then, I should go and see His Highness. Is he in the main mansion?”
“Oh, yes! His Highness is currently at the main mansion.”
“Is it alright if I go without giving prior notice?”
“Of course!”
“Yes! You and His Highness are a married couple!”
“That’s right!”
The maids hurriedly assured Grace that it was fine, in case her mind changed unexpectedly.
Sally also nodded vigorously, which Grace found amusing and endearing.
‘This is strange.’
Normally, by this point, she would hear the voices clamoring inside her head, but now, there was nothing.
“Then, I’ll be back soon.”
“Take your time!”
“You can even stay overnight at the main mansion.”
“Emily…!”
“What’s wrong with that? Both places are Madam’s home.”
‘Home.’
Again, why did those words tug at her heartstrings?
Even after deciding to end things if she couldn’t find an answer after the probation period, she still found comfort in that word.
“I’ll be back shortly.”

Inside the quiet study, Benjamin looked up from his paperwork when he heard a knock on the door.
“Come in.”
Thinking the person at the door was his aide who had been sent on an errand before, he froze as he received an unexpected guest.
“Um, may I come in?”
For a moment, he stared at her as if he were seeing an illusion. Then, he quickly stood up from his seat.
“M-My Lady?! What brings you here all of a sudden?”
“I wanted to talk about the upcoming purification mission.”
“A-Ah! Of course, please forgive me for not coming to you first!”
He hurriedly sat down and then stood up again, repeating the process as he organized the documents on his desk.
“Please have a seat on the sofa. I’ll tidy up quickly and join you.”
“Did I come at a busy time?”
“No, not at all. You came just when I was about to take a break. I’m not busy at the moment.”
Grace watched Benjamin’s movements as she took a seat on the sofa.
He seemed quite flustered, and his ears were bright red.
‘It’s Interesting.’
But what caught Grace’s attention, even more, was the fact that Benjamin was wearing glasses, something she had never seen before.
After finishing the tidying up, Benjamin felt Grace’s gaze and awkwardly asked,
“My Lady… Is there something on my face?”
“Ah, no, it’s just that I’ve never seen you wear glasses before.”
“….”
“Your Highness?”
“Do you not like them?”
Benjamin took off the glasses and adjusted the frame. Grace felt a bit anxious, seeing how his expression was down, she was a little afraid that if she said something wrong, he might break the glasses.
“I-I think they suit you.”
“….!”
In response to Grace’s answer, Benjamin broke into a wide smile.
“Then, should I wear them for the rest of my life?”
“I don’t think that’s necessary.”
“….”
“I mean, you don’t need to wear them all the time. If you usually go around without them, it means your eyesight isn’t that bad, right?”
At Grace’s answer, Benjamin laughed out loud, making her wonder what was so funny in their conversation.
“Your Highness?”
“Haha, you’re right, My Lady.”
He said to Grace, who was looking at him incredulously.
“My Lady always says the right thing.”
‘Why is he laughing like that?’
Even after recalling their recent conversation, she couldn’t find anything particularly amusing about it.
Grace couldn’t comprehend why Benjamin was laughing so heartily.
“Shall I have some tea brought in?”
“Oh, please.”
“I’ll also ask them to bring some dessert to accompany it. I understand that you are on a diet, but I’m worried that you’re losing weight too quickly and might disappear forever.”
‘It’s not to that extent.’
