The West Wind's Destination - Chapter 32
Looking up with her large eyes, Bea started with a single word.
“Responsibility, you say.”
“Yes. You should take responsibility.”
“Are you saying that since I treated your body, you haven’t been with any other woman?”
“Yes…! Bea, I swear, I haven’t been with anyone but you…”
“So, you mean to say you haven’t been able to achieve an er-ction?”
“That’s…”
Finally, something clicked. But then.
Aseph closed his eyes tightly.
The conversation had been strangely going in circles, and he had been floundering without understanding the cause, but now it finally seemed to align.
But of all things… of all things, it had to be this.
Well… No matter.
“Y-Yes, that’s right.”
Worried the conversation might veer off again, Aseph emphatically declared.
“I can’t get it up!”
Bea’s expression turned serious.
To Bea, this was indeed a grave matter.
After failing to resurrect her master and spending much time growing and taking care of a failed creation, she had also nullified Aseph’s anti-magic capabilities and invested a lot in his development.
The plan had been delayed, but it was still acceptable because, although she couldn’t resurrect her master in his original form, she had come closer to completing her research through Aseph’s healthy body.
That’s why Aseph had to be perfect. He was already flawless, but after she had treated him, he had to be even more so.
“Is there a problem with your body?”
“Yes, you should check. Like last time.”
“What sort of problem…”
Bea cocked her head, puzzled, but Aseph, feeling a breakthrough in their oddly circular conversation, couldn’t back down now.
If he couldn’t make progress through conversation, he had come prepared to try with his body.
In Aseph’s memory, Bea had said his body was beautiful, and when seduced by that beauty, she had seemingly given in.
Indeed, his plan to seduce her physically seemed to be working effectively this time as well.
In fact, Bea had been glancing inside his partly open shirt since earlier. Feeling her gaze, Aseph placed his hand there and unbuttoned a few more buttons.
So that she couldn’t look away at all.
“Bea.”
Aseph took Bea’s hand and placed it over his heart. The vibration transmitted through her hand felt like the thumping inside his body.
Bea couldn’t understand this emotion surging within her.
Ever since she had met him, her occasionally faltering body had worsened after seeing him again.
An unidentifiable discomfort. A sensation close to a sense of crisis, making her hairs stand on end.
The emotion Bea understood best was fear. Yes, this feeling was similar to that.
Fear.
But this fear was not exactly like the others. Bea only knew two ways to overcome fear: to kill the threat, or to submit or flee if it was insurmountable.
This situation was different. She didn’t want to kill Aseph, nor did she want to run away from him.
Just seeing Aseph seemed to put a strain on her mind.
“If treating your body will fix it, then let’s do that. But having already worked on your body several times, the desired result might not be achieved…”
Bea’s words trailed off. There was something distracting enough to stop her mid-sentence.
Aseph slowly took off his shirt. His bare torso, more beautiful than before, came into view.
Even though she thought he was perfect before, his body was comparatively more developed compared to back then.
Initially, he was already perfect in her eyes. But now, after Aseph had grown a bit more, he was irresistibly attractive. His body had become bigger and firmer, his voice calmer and deeper, and most of all…
“Do you still think my body is beautiful?”
His physique seemed to radiate a fully matured aura.
The only flaw was the scar on his side that Bea had once inflicted.
But it didn’t feel like a flaw. Rather…
“Bea.”
She swallowed dryly.
As he leaned in closer, the scent of a man enveloped her.
Yes. It was his scent that was different. Not like the typical scent of a man. When she first noticed it, it was richer and sweeter, but now it was intoxicating, almost numbing her senses.
With a little effort from him, she felt like she could be fully reclined on the bed, considering the softness and comfort of the sheets she had felt earlier.
As Bea remained silent, Aseph rubbed his forehead against her neck.
“Bea, Bea… I missed you so much. During the years I searched for you, it felt like my blood was drying up. Thank you for finding me first, and I’m sorry.”
After a while of rubbing his face against her neck, Aseph looked directly at her, their faces so close that their noses almost touched. His adam’s apple moved as if tense, and the sound of him swallowing dryly could be heard.
“I know it’s hard for you to understand such words. So… just follow your heart. If you want to push me away, then do it.”
Under his thick, long eyelashes, his eyes, clear and bright like gems, were fixed on her. One color would have been captivating enough, but the presence of two colors made them even more striking.
And they were getting closer.
“Just… Please be honest with me.”
