The West Wind's Destination - Chapter 44
“Did you think of me while watching the child?”
“Of course, the more it grew, the more it resembled you…”
He held her hands.
“Do you remember this? We used to do this often back then.”
“……”
Like before, every time he spoke to her, she felt an electric-like sensation from head to toe. She even had goosebumps.
“Right? Bea.”
Aseph slowly leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. The moist flesh licked her lower lip and then retreated.
The act itself was just like before. Yet, it felt completely different, probably because his body had changed since then.
His tongue boldly invaded her still open mouth. It was a daring act, not even bothering to ask for permission.
Despite his hard body, his tongue and lips were surprisingly soft. And unlike the first day, he was now much more relaxed in his actions.
The way he slowly licked the root of her tongue made her mouth quickly fill with saliva, turning sticky. His tongue, which had slipped past her teeth, sucked on Bea’s as if it were a sweet candy.
“Haah….”
The slurping sound echoed loudly in the quiet room.
His thick arms wrapped around Bea’s waist, pulling her closer. Just a little pull from him, and she was tightly pressed against him, which seemed to excite him even more.
Lost in the kiss, Bea soon found herself lying on the bed, receiving his ravenous kisses.
“Mmh, huh…”
As Bea began to pant for breath, Aseph seemed to come to his senses and finally released her lips.
He pressed his forehead against hers, breathing heavily. It was unclear whether it was due to shortness of breath or pleasure, but he licked the moist trails around Bea’s eyes.
“Do you need anything else?”
His husky voice asked.
Indeed, Aseph Vilkanos had been more helpful with her research than he used to be. He saved her both money and time in procuring materials.
The problem, however, was this.
Every time their eyes met, their lips would touch, and their tongues would entwine. It didn’t take long before their bodies merged as well. And the act was always excessively long and intense, leaving Bea completely exhausted and drowsy most of the time.
‘This will delay the research again…’
Yet, strangely, she didn’t feel a sense of urgency. There was a feeling of relaxation, almost like floating, and it felt as if it was okay to continue like this. But she knew she shouldn’t.
As Bea didn’t respond readily, Aseph seemed content to keep kissing her cheeks. Then, he kissed her again.
“Mmm…”
It seemed he was ready to keep going until she spoke, so Bea shook her head and dodged his lips. Aseph tried to kiss her again.
Desperate to stop him, Bea quickly spoke up.
“J, jewels…”
“Jewels?”
Aseph’s face brightened.
“What kind of jewels are you referring to? A ring, perhaps? A tiara would also be nice. A wreath made of jade to match your eye color would suit you perfectly.”
He was talking about a wedding ring and a tiara for the Guardian’s wife, but Aseph omitted those important details.
And Bea wasn’t the kind of person to understand such metaphors.
“No, I mean jewels infused with magic. They need to be unprocessed raw stones.”
Aseph was not disappointed by her response.
“Ah, I see. In that case, Vilkanos is the perfect place. It has been the origin of such minerals since ancient times. Especially the magic stones from Vilkanos are said to be among the world’s seven wonders of beauty. You do have an exquisite taste.”
“……”
Bea had mentioned the most difficult item to procure she could think of, but Aseph seemed even more pleased. Realizing their conversation was slightly off-track, Bea clarified.
“I need them for research purposes.”
“Is that so? Then it would be best if you personally select them. Shall we prepare an outing? No, before that, we should tailor new clothes for traveling, considering the warm spring. What do you think?”
While saying this, Aseph looked into her eyes intently, talking about spring and looking into her green eyes. Even Bea, who was weak at understanding metaphors and indirect expressions, guessed what Aseph was hinting at.
Feeling an odd sensation of air filling her heart, as if floating, Bea averted her gaze.
“…Okay.”
“Really? Then… How about bringing Homun along? It would be a nice trip for the family.”
Aseph subtly brought in the word ‘family’, but Bea didn’t react to that. Instead, she pondered whether it would be good to take the homunculus there. It was a good idea. Since the homunculus was created using magic stones, comparing and obtaining better ones seemed beneficial.
“That sounds good.”
Why Aseph was so elated by her agreement was beyond her understanding.
❖
Aseph had been quite excited these days.
Going out with Bea was part of helping her research—in reality, far from being called a date. The destination was just a mine, a place devoid of any romantic aspect.
However, these details didn’t matter to him.
Seeing Aseph so eagerly preparing everything for the outing, his aide Ruslan sighed.
“Your Highness, about Zephyr…”
