The family doctor, who had visited since morning, packed up his examination tools and left after firmly reminding her not to overexert herself for the time being.
Marsha let out a sigh of relief and clutched her chest.
“Madam, thank goodness. Yesterday, I really thought something terrible was going to happen.”

Nina remembered Marsha going out to get her medicine, but after that, everything became hazy, like being trapped in a fog.

At Nina’s glance, Marsha opened the door.
“You two are…”
The ones who entered were the very people she had just been thinking about—Jessie and Yona.
The two of them walked in, arms full of flowers.
“Madam, are you feeling better?”
“We came yesterday because we had something to tell you, but we heard you were sick…”
Nina smiled warmly at them.
“Thank you for worrying. I’m all better now.”
At her words, the two girls smiled in relief and held out the bouquet.
“Um, it’s not much, but this is a little gift we prepared.”
Nina accepted the flowers with a pleased smile.
“It’s been a while since I received flowers. It feels nice.”
With her eyes half-closed, Nina took in the scent of the flowers.
It really had been a long time since someone gave her a bouquet.
“Ah, right. I actually had something I wanted to ask you both, so you came at the perfect time. Did you meet with the lawyer from the association?”
She had made a point to urge them to get legal counsel before she left for the capital, and now she was curious how it had gone.
Then Jessie spoke up.
“We actually came to thank you, Madam.”

“Sounds like everything went smoothly?”
“Yes, once the complaint was sent, my younger brother gave back all the money he had taken.”
“And the person who scammed my sister out of her shop immediately handed over the deed.”
Jessie’s younger brother, who had deceived her by pretending their parents had passed away and had taken money under the guise of living expenses.
The shop owner who had sold a store to Yona’s sister and then pretended he had never received the money.
“The moment they got the complaint, that’s what they did?”
“Yes. Just like we feared at first, once they were served, they rushed to settle things.”
“That’s really great. Achieving your goal without going to trial is the best outcome.”

Ahhhh damnit. I was so excited hoping we’d see an Ash and Nina Moment since last weeks chapter was all about that damn villainess b*tch being the psycho that she is. Alas, unfortunately another chapter that I read within a minute where absolutely NOTHING happens… sigh. Now we gotta wait another 4 days or so until a new chapter comes out…. Hopefully something fun happens next chapter, that way I don’t end up pulling my hair out 🙏
