There is No Key to His Cage - Chapter 22.2
His office was at the very end of the second-floor corridor, and to get there, one had to pass at least ten doors.
Elena grabbed her long brown skirt and climbed the stairs diligently.
Thanks to that, the thudding sound echoed through the corridor.
By the time she reached his office, the knights guarding the door blocked her.
“You cannot pass beyond this point.”
The guards quickly drew their sharp swords and checked her. As if they would behead her right away.
“What are you doing?”
“The Grand Duke ordered not to let anyone in while he’s working. We’re sorry, miss.”
No matter how much of an outsider she was, she had enough power to control them here.
This was the first time she had been treated so disrespectfully since coming here.
“I have something to say to Decarus. Move.”
“We’re sorry.”
“Ha…!”
Elena, upset by their reaction, sighed deeply and stared straight at the knights.
With a look that said ‘How dare you not move’, she tilted her head a couple of times.
As she proceeded straight towards the door like that, the guards roughly grabbed her shoulders.
“Ah…! What is this…!”
The strength of the hand pressing down with heavy gauntlets was very powerful. It felt like her shoulder blade might break at this rate.
She tried to shake them off while grimacing, but it was useless.
She had to use her last resort.
Well, there are many ways to get in.
Although this method is a bit extreme.
For example,
“Kyaaa!!! Help me!!!”
Making the tiger come out of the cave directly.
Elena closed her eyes tightly and screamed with all her might, creating sound from deep in her stomach with abdominal breathing.
The resounding voice echoed to the end of the corridor.
If it even echoes, that says it all.
Bang-!!!
Bingo.
Seeing his completely crumpled face, one could clearly see how urgent he had been.
Decarus, who hadn’t even properly put on his outer clothes, came out of the room with a deeply furrowed brow.
“Elena…!”
As their eyes met, Elena gave an awkward smile and carefully raised one hand to greet him.
“Haha… hello.”
The moment their eyes met, his face slowly hardened, drawing a straight line.
Decarus, with an expression as if he had seen a strange bug, let out a hollow laugh.
“What on earth is this…?”
“They refuse to let me in. These fellows.”
Elena opened her round eyes wide and tattled to him like a child telling on someone to their mother.
“Ha…”
Decarus put one hand to his face and rubbed it.
Then, after taking a deep breath, he spoke sternly to the guards.
“From now on, Elena’s entry must always be allowed.”
The knights straightened their heads and stiffened their bodies.
Elena snorted at their attitude, which couldn’t be seen until just a moment ago.
“Yes, Your Grace.”
Soon, he grabbed her shoulder and led her into the room.
“Come here.”
Bang-
As soon as the door closed, her body was trapped in his arms.
His red eyes, burning like fire, were evidence of his anger.
“What are you trying to do?”
Decarus’s voice, which had no inflection, broke the silence.
“I have something to tell you.”
Seeing her bright, innocent eyes without any guilt, he sighed deeply while rubbing his face.
“No. Who told you to act like that?”
His clenched teeth made her a bit flustered.
She didn’t know he would get this angry.
“Um… well…”
Her lips became dry at the unexpected reaction.
She hadn’t prepared an expected answer because of this.
“Get out now.”
He glared at her, frowning his thick eyebrows.
She had something to say, but the knights wouldn’t move, so she screamed.
Although she had irritated his nerves, being looked up and down made her feel bad.
“Okay, I’m sorry. I’m sorry, but could you not make that expression? It’s unpleasant.”
She felt wronged.
Was screaming once such a terrible thing to do?
He looked at her with a frown, as if dumbfounded.
“…What?”
“I said you’re unpleasant.”
She looked up at him with eyes that seemed to say she was wrongly accused.
Those eyes sparkled so brightly, that they looked like jade placed on top.
“Ha…!”
He laughed hollowly with an incredulous expression.
Then, meeting her gaze directly, he slowly moved his lips with a heavy voice.
“Don’t ever play such pranks again. Next time, I really won’t let it slide.”
He warned, firmly gripping her delicate shoulders.
His overbearing attitude made her feel bad.
Who does he think he is to tell her what to do?
“I’m not your possession, Decarus. Don’t tell me what to…!”
Suddenly, soft lips met her tender flesh. Her lips, completely buried in his, melted softly.
The sight of him kissing her, tilting his head, was as rough as a lion devouring a young prey.
“Everything in this mansion, all of it, is mine.”
“Ah…!”
She tried to push away the hard man’s body, but it was futile.
His hard teeth slowly bit into the sensitive, reddened flesh.
“Even those crude lips of yours.”
“Carus…!”
The two’s roughened breaths filled the room.
“Haa…”
Decarus lifted her up and sat her on the desk.
Hot breaths slowly exchanged between their touching lips.
Red eyes looked straight at her as he tilted his head.
“Answer me.”
“……”
When there was no answer, he tightened his grip on her shoulders and opened his mouth.
“Ugh…!”
“Or should I seal those lips once more?”
