This Three-Year-Old Is A Villainess - Chapter 160

After the conversation with Grandfather,
I was riding home alone in the carriage. Dad had work to do at the castle.
A tranquil landscape unfolded outside the carriage window.
The night sky was as beautiful as a desert harboring an oasis.
Countless stars shone as if they were about to pour down on me.
‘I really love Astra’s night sky.’
It was a scenery I had loved since I was very young.
While I was enjoying the solitude.
Clunk!
The carriage suddenly jolted and came to a halt.
“What’s going on?”
The servant in front knocked on the window, looking flustered.
“I’m sorry, Miss. It seems the wheel got stuck in the marsh. Please wait a moment. I’ll fix it quickly.”
He looked extremely cautious, worried that I might be upset, but I had no intention of getting angry.
It was an unavoidable situation.
However, the maids from the territory, Heidi and Betty, glared fiercely.
“Get to it quickly!”
“What if our lady catches a cold from the chilly wind!”
I looked at the maids in surprise.
‘When I was three, they were clumsy and kind.’
Now, seven years since we first met, Heidi and Betty were senior employees.
With their long experience, they had also become quite capable.
Because of this, they had considerable influence among the other servants. Thanks to their growth too, the other servants were afraid of them.
‘They still seem cute to me though.’
But if others saw them as intimidating, it meant I wouldn’t be easily deceived, which was a relief.
While Heidi and Betty were berating the coachman, I looked out the window.
The carriage had stopped near a lakeside.
‘Maybe I’ll take a walk.’
I stepped outside and spoke to the sweating coachman.
“Take your time. I’ll go for a walk nearby.”
“Please wait, Miss. We’ll come with you.”
“Coat, coat…! It’s chilly at night!”
Heidi and Betty rushed out like arrows.
I walked along the lakeside, chatting with them.
Then it happened.
Rustle.
A rustling sound came from the bushes, and a boy emerged.
“Oh my!”
Betty screamed in shock, and Heidi, her face tense, shielded me.
But the boy wasn’t a dangerous person like an assassin.
He was about 15 years old.
His face looked familiar.
“Haha. What a coincidence, right?”
It was the boy I saw when I picked up Armand’s hat.
Was his name Porcelony?
He acted the same way back then.
I furrowed my brows.
‘Could it be that he caused the carriage to stop?’
Come to think of it, it was fine on the way to the castle, but suddenly there was a marsh. It was strange.
Is he crazy?
I looked at Porcelony with a skeptical attitude, and he started talking unprompted.
“I was sorry we didn’t have time to talk when we met before, so I came to see you. You look even prettier at night.”
He had stopped my carriage to waste my time and was spouting nonsense.
When I furrowed my brows, Porcelony laughed.
“I’m not a strange person. You know my name, right? Porcelony Caldere. My family is quite wealthy. Nouveau riche.”
They must have been poor before and recently became nouveau riche after selling their estate to Grandfather.
“Just get to the point.”
“Haha. Is it because of your commoner background? Your personality is a bit prickly. Well, you are of Astra blood too.”
Muttering to himself, the boy continued to babble.
“At first, I didn’t believe your origins either. You’re so beautiful, and yet a commoner! You really are beautiful.”
I couldn’t believe he was calling me a commoner as if it were a compliment.
“As you know, noble lineage is the most important thing for us. But my mother would die for you. It doesn’t matter what my father says because my mother is on my side.”
Why do I need to know this irrelevant information?
“I can persuade everyone. So I’ll give you the opportunity to be my woman.”
‘Wow.’
I was so stunned I couldn’t speak.
Porcelony acted as if he were bestowing a great favor, expecting me to be honored by his interest.
“Honestly, I’m a bit too good for you, but since you’re half-Astra, I can make an exception.”
“Oh my.”
“Unbelievable.”
The only reason I could endure this nonsense was thanks to Betty and Heidi adding commentary from behind.
Betty and Heidi were trembling with rage, looking like they were about to tear their handkerchiefs apart if they had any.
The sound of their grinding teeth was so loud it gave me chills.
“Miss. Who is that… noble jerk? Is he someone you can’t ignore?”
“He’s just a noble from the countryside. I don’t really know him.”
“What!”
Betty and Heidi looked like they were about to collapse, clutching their necks.
And yet, they continued grinding their teeth, making me worry about their dental health. The dentures in this world haven’t been developed yet.
“It’s fine. Just watch. It’s amusing.”
As I explained this, I sensed a presence behind me.
‘Oh dear.’
I spread my hand wide toward the slowly approaching Porcelony.
“I’ll give you a chance to escape. Just five seconds.”
