Enzo stayed close behind me. He couldn’t carry me since he needed both his hands free for battle. I was running under his protection.
As we headed down the mountain, the monsters resumed their attack.
The red-haired soldier swung his sword to fend off the monsters.
Suddenly, with a flick, the soldier’s grip on the Purification Stone loosened, and it fell to the ground, rolling away.

Without it, Father might be cursed and ultimately perish.

Enzo tried to reach out and stop me, but he was pushed aside by the approaching monster.

The soldiers rushed toward me.
They faced the remaining monster and launched an attack.

The monster was pulled down by the chain, struggling against the soldiers who worked in concert.
After some time of the monster thrashing about…

With a loud noise, the monster was disintegrated, just as the previous one had been.
Finally, I let out a sigh of relief.

Behind me was a cliff, and above me, there was gigantic monster.
I was so frightened, not knowing if I’d survive this ordeal.
Enzo quickly helped me up.
“Are you alright?”

I nervously extended the Purification Stone I had been holding.
