This Three-Year-Old Is A Villainess - Chapter 63

The shopping district.
Passing through the checkpoint, we entered the walled area with a huge dome shape and couldn’t help but exclaim,
‘Wow…’
Inside the shops, it felt like a quaint European village.
Lush trees lined the streets, scattered benches, and countless beautiful buildings…!
All those buildings were shops.
Just like landmarks in Astra, it was indeed grand.
“It’s amazing, right, Young Miss?”
“Isn’t it, Miss?”
Heidi and Betty had come with me, and they were equally as excited as me.
“Ywes!”
Even Mosco, the 3-meter-tall guard, seemed excited, nodding his head.
“It’s quite different from the huge estate.”
“Moshco’s fiwst time hewe awso?” (It’s your first time here too, Mosco?)
When I asked, Mosco nodded.
“I was a barbarian slave just five years ago. The General destroyed the workshop where I was held and recruited me as a soldier.”
“Wah…”
“Aren’t you surprised?”
“I gotta be supwised?”
“Didn’t I just say that I used to be a slave? Most nobles see me as mere dirt.”
Mosco seemed puzzled by my nonchalance.
I shrugged my shoulders.
“Swaves awe pipow too.” (Slaves are people too.)
I said that and started walking ahead.
I could feel a lingering gaze from behind.
When I turned my head, Mosco’s eyes widened as he looked at me.
“Wes go, Moshco.” (Let’s go, Mosco.)
I grabbed Mosco’s finger. He had big hands, matching his large frame, making his fingers look like Frankfurter sausages.
Mosco blinked, then he suddenly laughed.
“I can see now why the General became such a fool for the Miss.”
“…?”
“Yes, yes, let’s go!”
Mosco lifted me onto his shoulder and gave me a ride on his back.
‘It’s so much fun being up high!’
I giggled, and the maids found it enjoyable to see me like that.
We explored the shopping district together.
Thanks to the generous allowance I received from Father, I bought playful things like toys and even a new sketchbook.
‘Now. it’s time to start moving.’
“I wike tha one!”
I exclaimed, and the maids and Mosco looked where I pointed.
“It’s a dessert shop. I heard it’s trendy among nobles these days.”
“Yes, Young Miss. Would you like to go?”
The maids led me to the dessert shop.
As we were about to enter, someone hurriedly came out of the store.
“Would you like to come in?”
The man at the counter appeared to be the shopkeeper.
“Yes.”
When the maid answered, he looked contemplative and glanced at Mosco.
“Bodyguards must wait outside.”
“What?!”
Mosco barked, and the shopkeeper visibly flinched, hunching his shoulders.
“T-This is an exclusive shop for nobles. If there’s a menacing presence, they won’t enjoy it properly.”
“I am the Young Miss’ bodyguard! Are you saying I should be separated from her?”
“But, but usually, the bodyguards don’t come inside…”
The shopkeeper was trembling, but Mosco snorted.
“If anything happens to her when I’m not around, it’ll be your responsibility—”
“Mosco, I’m stay hewe.” (Mosco, I’ll stay here.)
When I spoke, all eyes turned to me.
Mosco and the maids were flustered, trying to convince me.
“But being separated from your bodyguard…”
“Yes, Miss. It’s dangerous.”
“But thwis a showp fow nowbus, wight?” (But this is a shop for nobles, right?)
I asked the shopkeeper, and his face brightened.
“Of course! Even high nobles come here, and we have a separate security detail inside.”
I had expected that.
In ‘Grandvill’, there were times when Dahlia’s guards were obstructed.
I convinced Mosco to stay.
“Thewe awe othew gawuds hewe.”
“But…”
“If Moshco staw hewe, I buy dessewt fow Moshco, too!” (If Mosco stays here, I’ll buy dessert for Mosco, too!)
“Uuuuum.”
After much deliberation, Mosco reluctantly conceded.
But he didn’t forget the warning…
“If even a speck of trouble occurs to the Young Miss because of you, your head and body will be permanently separated.”
…is what he said while lifting the shopkeeper off the ground, by the collar.
I waved ‘bye bye’ to Mosco, then entered the shop.
The shop’s layout was just as I had read in ‘Grandvill’. There was a central showcase displaying desserts, and rooms lined the walls.
Nobles enjoyed their desserts in these enclosed spaces. But since this wasn’t a noble’s mansion, some noise from the adjacent room could be heard.
“We will escort you to your room.”
“I wike the one at thwe end.”
“Of course.”
The shopkeeper set up a table in the room I preferred and then left.
Maids couldn’t sit with nobles either, so they had to wait outside.
‘What time is it now?’
I checked the wall clock, and it was exactly 4PM.
Then, I heard loud voices from the adjacent room.
“Oh, this isn’t something you can easily find out… But, I’m a special case, and I’m telling you something truly special, you see?”
“Don’t beat around the bush. Just tell us. What’s this information about?”
“The Pirate King left behind a treasure island.”
“T, Treasure island?”
“Just before he died, the Pirate King of the Mo Kingdom mentioned that he left an island full of treasures behind. So, the age of great pirates is upon us, and the Leather Hat Pirates—no, ah I mean. That person found that treasure island. Captain Kuhn Kisa.”
Pfft.
I stifled a laugh.
‘A treasure island? He’s talking nonsense.’
The boy, who was speaking about a non-existent treasure island, was none other than Han Ji-hyuk, the one and only transmigrated character in ‘Grandvill’ besides me.
And…
‘He’s the guy who’ll become my cash cow.’
