Towards the Winter Cabin of Serenity and Madness, Cinderella Runs - Chapter 102
“Did you bring it yourself? Where’s the staff? Oh, give it to me.”
“W-wait! It’s fine!”
Roel shook her head at Kyden, who was rising from the tub, and poured the hot water into the bathtub. She wiped the sweat from her forehead with a sense of accomplishment.
“How is it? Is it warm?”
“Yeah, it’s good.”
When she dipped her hand into the water, it was surprisingly hot.
“Kyden! Isn’t it too hot?”
“It’s okay.”
If he thought of it as training, he could endure it.
“It seems really hot to me. P-please, get out quickly.”
Kyden looked at Roel, who was flustered and smiling, and he couldn’t help but laugh. It would be impossible to bathe together with the water boiling, so he decided to wash quickly and get out.
“Stay out. I’ll bathe and come out.”
“…Alright.”
Roel left the bathroom with a dejected look. Her eagerness had apparently made things uncomfortable.
As she hung her wet dress on a chair to dry, wearing only a thin camisole underneath, Kyden emerged from the bathroom with a flushed body, wearing only a towel around his waist.
“Oh!”
He scooped Roel into his arms, and she felt the heat from his body, warmed like a stone from the hearth.
“It’s refreshing.”
Kyden murmured as he rubbed his face against her body. Roel, with cold hands and feet, enjoyed the cool sensation of his face against her palm.
“…”
Roel stiffened in surprise but soon relaxed, her heart fluttering with warmth despite the unfamiliar display of affection.
‘Has Kyden grown fonder of me?’
Had he changed, or had she changed in accepting his affection? The difference wasn’t clear, but it was evident that they both had changed, even if only a little.
After Kyden had cooled off with Roel’s body heat, he lifted her by supporting her bottom with his arm.
Roel clung to his shoulder with a frightened expression. With his height, hugging him made her feel a bit scared as her viewpoint was raised so high.
“K-Kyden, put me down.”
“I’ll set you down on the bed.”
Kyden placed her gently on the bed and then crawled up with his knees, kissing her forehead.
As Roel tried to push him away from his shoulder, she gradually fell back. No matter how much she pushed, it was hard to keep him off.
It felt like a large dog, too big to handle, was playfully clinging to her.
“Ah, it tickles.”
Roel turned her head, and Kyden naturally lowered his face to her chest. The thin camisole was pulled down in an instant, and his warm mouth enveloped her b****t.
As he sucked and licked, he pulled back slightly to say, “It looks like we’ll be going to the palace tomorrow.”
He then resumed his focus on her chest, suckling and licking passionately.
“W-why are you going to the palace?”
He continued to tease her n–ple, making it hard and e-ect before squeezing her b****t with his hand. Only after seeing the red marks on her skin did he answer her question.
“For the Count’s investiture ceremony. A position for a guardian knight is open, and I’m filling it.”
“Ah, when will you go back to your hometown?”
“After the ceremony… probably in about a week.”
Serley had mentioned looking for a wealthy older woman at the Founding Day banquet, so it was unlikely Kyden would return immediately after the ceremony.
“It might be even later.”
If he found a suitable match, he might stay in the capital for another month or two to enjoy the company of a potential lover.
While the chances seemed slim, it wasn’t impossible. There could be a woman who wanted to care for a sensitive younger man like him.
“It’s not immediate…”
Roel murmured with a hint of disappointment. Kyden raised an eyebrow.
“Did you want to leave sooner?”
“Not exactly… I was just curious. I was a bit excited and worried…”
“You’ll like it.”
Kyden spoke with confidence. Although Roel didn’t understand why he was so sure, she smiled and nodded.
“Yes.”
Being with Kyden was sure to be a nice experience. Even the isolated cabin in the snow felt like paradise, and despite the cold and fear, Roel had been happy.
Kyden slowly moved down between Roel’s legs, and Roel’s eyebrows furrowed.
“But Kyden, are you planning to do it again?”
“Yeah.”
“We, we did it earlier today.”
“Just a little.”
Roel didn’t agree with his point at all. It felt like they had done it in a way that drained her completely. Kyden, however, seemed to think differently.
“You have to go to the palace tomorrow. Shouldn’t you rest?”
“Are you tired?”
Although Kyden’s tone suggested that if Roel was tired, they wouldn’t continue, Roel couldn’t bring herself to admit her exhaustion.
“…I’m fine.”
Roel couldn’t be honest about her true feelings. She was tired but didn’t want to disappoint Kyden.
When would she be able to be honest with him? As her feelings for him grew stronger, Roel found herself thinking more about his feelings than her own.
