Towards the Winter Cabin of Serenity and Madness, Cinderella Runs - Chapter 129
“Kyden!”
Overwhelmed with joy, she unexpectedly threw herself into his arms, burying her face in his chest and taking a deep breath. She could smell his scent, her heart racing in his presence. She felt like tears might spill from her happiness.
“…Mmm.”
Kyden pressed his fist to his mouth, letting out a small groan. The corners of his lips were slowly rising.
He picked Roel up, who was frozen in his arms, and quietly stepped into the room. Once Roel managed to calm her heart, she lifted her head.
“Is everything finished?”
“Not yet… I have to go back again.”
“Ah….”
At his words, Roel’s brows furrowed. Kyden gently stroked her back, looking apologetic.
“It’ll take a few more days.”
Roel felt disappointed but forced a smile.
“That’s okay. But aren’t you busy? Is it alright for you to be out like this?”
“Yeah.”
Kyden nodded and glanced around the room. His gaze fell on a book lying on the table.
“What book is that?”
“Ah… I’m trying to study writing again. I bought it with the money you gave me.”
“It might be tough to study alone.”
“It’s a bit embarrassing to say I’m studying since I just started today.”
Caught off guard at being found out, Roel blushed as she replied.
“If you need a teacher, just let me know. I’ll help you find one.”
“Ah, no. I’m fine for now.”
Roel quickly shook her head, thinking it unnecessary to have a teacher for herself. Just learning enough to write a letter would be sufficient.
‘If I say I want to write a letter… would he like that?’
As Roel hesitated and stole a glance at Kyden, he took her hand and walked over to the bed. Roel’s face flushed with heat, as she felt like he had misinterpreted her gaze.
‘Now that I think about it, it has been a while.’
When they were at the hotel, he would cling to her every day, but Kyden hadn’t touched her during their travels.
Even when they camped, they covered themselves with their own blankets, and he didn’t come into her room when they slept in the mansion of the subordinates. Kyden’s stoic demeanor felt oddly fascinating to Roel.
‘I thought Kyden was a beast who couldn’t hold back… but he never showed it at all.’
It was the same at the cabin, and even after their reunion, his calmness unexpectedly made her heart race.
Was it because he seemed like a diligent and noble knight? Or was it that his restraint made her feel flustered in contrast?
In any case, his new side was refreshing. Although there were times she felt it was a bit much… she didn’t dislike the beast-like Kyden either.
Sometimes, she felt a tickling sensation between her legs, and her chest would warm with a rush of excitement.
“Kyden, are you going to do it now?”
“…I just want to hold you.”
Kyden sat on the bed and wrapped his arms around Roel’s waist, burying his face against her stomach and letting out a deep breath.
As Roel looked down at him, she narrowed her eyes. His hands were subtly roaming over her hips and waist.
‘Just holding me? You’re definitely going to do something.’
It was lovely how he tried to hide his intentions while clearly revealing them. So Roel chose to ignore his obvious motives and remained still.
Kyden’s hand gripped her backside, and as her clothing got in the way, he lifted the hem of her skirt with his other hand. Roel’s skirt rose above her knees.
His large hand explored her soft thighs, and once it found her backside, it began to move more confidently, making her body sway.
“Ugh, Kyden…”
“What have you been up to?”
“Just… staying well.”
“Really?”
“Yeah… can we just lie down?”
Standing awkwardly rather than undressing her and laying her on the bed made Roel feel like she was being toyed with.
Kyden lifted his head and rested his chin on her stomach, admiring her flushed face as he parted his lips.
“Is that all you have to say after saying you’ve been well?”
“…Well, yes?”
“Even though you’re feeling so lonely?”
His fingers slipped between her legs. As they brushed against her warm, damp walls, his gaze turned intense.
Was he dissatisfied that she hadn’t said anything special yesterday? Or was he sulking because she was doing well? Regardless of the reason, Roel was pleased that he had come to see her, even if it was out of jealousy.
She craved the feeling of being wanted, even if it meant indulging in his jealousy. Was deepening feelings truly a path to becoming selfish and greedy?
Roel averted her gaze, mumbling softly.
“Since I’m doing well, I just say I’m fine… Ah!”
Just as she finished speaking, his fingers slid inside her. Startled, she grasped his shoulder. She tensed her thighs, but she couldn’t stop his hand.
“Ugh…!”
Two fingers plunged deep inside her. The hand gripping her shoulder trembled slightly.
“I haven’t been doing well.”
“Why, what’s wrong? Did something happen?”
“I keep thinking about you… afraid you might disappear again.”
“I won’t run away.”
Kyden lifted Roel onto his lap, only pulling down his pants slightly as he grabbed her backside. Roel blinked in shock, her face filled with surprise.
