Towards the Winter Cabin of Serenity and Madness, Cinderella Runs - Chapter 24
“Let’s eat quickly.”
“Okay. It’s all ready.”
As Roel finished preparing dinner and was serving the soup, Kyden approached her from behind. He came close as if to embrace her, unnecessarily meddling with her tasks.
“Fill it up well.”
“We don’t have much vegetables left. We need to save.”
“It’s okay, we might be able to go down to the village soon.”
“…”
Roel felt uneasy.
“You keep fainting because that’s all you eat.”
“Th-that’s because Ky-Kyden does it too much. It goes on for too long…”
“Anyway, you need to gain more weight. You faint because you’re too thin and lack strength.”
“…”
Roel wondered if Kyden disliked women as thin as her. Once he went down to the village, young women would flock to him. Right now, she was the only woman around, so he was kind, but once women who met his standards appeared, he would change.
It felt as if sharp needles were relentlessly piercing her heart. Thin, unattractive, timid, and destitute. How could she confront him about toying with her under such pretenses?
She was already receiving a great kindness by being allowed to stay in the cabin, being fed, and sharing his warmth.
Following his advice, Roel filled her soup bowl and sat down, wincing.
“Ugh…”
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing…”
Her lower body was sore so sitting comfortably was difficult. Especially after the previous night when Kyden had been particularly relentless.
As Roel began to experience pleasure, Kyden’s desires grew.
Her soft moans as she clung to his back and the way her face, previously contorted with cries and grimaces, relaxed into a dazed expression, made him lose his self-control.
What used to be a solitary act like a beast’s became an insatiable pursuit that lasted until dawn.
Roel sat uncomfortably in her chair, in an awkward posture. Kyden furrowed his brows and asked.
“What’s the matter?”
“It’s just… below hurts a bit.”
“It hurts enough to make sitting difficult?”
“Well, you did go on long enough that it swelled.”
After doing it for such a long time, it was impossible not to feel some discomfort. Embarrassed and awkward, Roel pouted and blamed him.
Kyden then tapped his thigh.
“Then sit on my lap.”
“What? No, that’s okay. I’m not a child.”
“The chair is too hard, that’s why.”
“Kyden’s thigh is hard too…”
“It’s better than a chair.”
After her continued refusal, Kyden pulled her onto his lap. He looped his hand around her waist, securing her to prevent her from escaping.
Roel’s face flushed with surprise. Her embarrassment extended to her neck, so much so that it was visible to Kyden. His adam’s apple bobbed as he faced her reddened neck.
“Guess I’ll have to restrain myself today.”
His voice dripped with reluctance. Trapped in his embrace, Roel hurriedly nodded in agreement.
“Yes, yes.”
Why does he feel so disappointed? He had never been this passionate about something before. Kyden felt a distasteful surge of desire despite the situation and grimaced.
However, as Roel quietly kept her head down, suddenly taking a deep breath, she changed her mind.
“…If you want to, we can.”
“No, you said you’re hurt.”
“It doesn’t really hurt that much.”
“I’m not that much of a beast.”
Kyden snorted in dismissal and shook his head.
She thought he was a total beast. Roel bit her lower lip, feeling a mix of relief, discomfort, and guilt.
“Here, eat.”
He fed her the soup as if she was a baby bird. Roel resisted, clamping her mouth shut, but his persistence won. She couldn’t keep ignoring the spoon hovering in the air and eventually opened her mouth to eat.
“…I can eat by myself.”
“Sure you can.”
“Please give me the spoon.”
“No need. Just eat like this.”
Kyden kept her on his lap, diligently spoon-feeding her the soup. It felt like he was nursing her back to health or raising a child.
Either way, filling up the small woman with food was both enjoyable and fulfilling. He continued feeding her bread, soup, and meat until she said she was full. When he massaged her belly to see if it had bulged, Roel shivered and scampered away.
Roel was like a timid and shy rabbit. She glared at him as if angry yet couldn’t bring herself to express her displeasure.
“…I’m going to dust off the bedding.”
That was all she could muster in her flustered state.
