Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 2
“Get out.” The man looked at me with contempt. “Or do you want me to kill you?”
He reached out his hand. I could feel that his words were genuine, not threatening.
I quickly covered my throat and stepped back. The hand touching my throat was much finer and slender than mine.
What’s happening? At a loss for words, I blurted out a response.
“What did you say, Rienna? Seems like you really want to die. How did such a lousy person become a doctor?”
Rienna…Me? A doctor?
“Are you saying I’m Rienna?”
Me? Me? Am I Rienna? You mean, the supporting character in the novel I was reading who became the Crown Prince’s royal physician and then got sacked after a week?
“I thought the Empress was crazy, but it seems the person she sent is also insane. Birds of a feather, I suppose.”
His disgusted tone snapped me out of it. I looked at the man sitting on the bed, mesmerized.
The pale-looking man had a fire in his eyes. Although his face was bloodless, he didn’t look like a man who would die any time soon, perhaps because of his bright crimson eyes.
Pallid face, crimson irises, and the man attempting to kill Rienna…!
“Are you Helios…?”
I clamped one hand over my mouth. His eyes narrowed.
“How dare you point a finger at me? Are you begging me to kill you?” Venom spewed from his mouth, and when I heard it, I knew.
That was Helios.
So I’ve transmigrated. I became Rienna Harris, the poor three-line supporting character who dies within a week after failing to cure Helios.

“Your Highness, wouldn’t it be better if you just take this?”
“Get out!”
Bang! Once again, the door was shut right in front of my nose. Then, there was a thud against the door.
I rubbed the tip of my nose. If I had backed away just a second later, my nose would have been completely squashed.
I sighed as I looked down at the bottle containing the handcrafted medicine that took 24 hours to prepare.
“I told you he wouldn’t take it.” said Jamie, a maid from the prince’s palace, snatching the tray from my hand.
“Can’t we try convincing him one more time?”
I glanced at the vial with regret. The medicine’s effectiveness decreases if he doesn’t take it. Even just a sip would be helpful.
“Miss Rienna, His Highness won’t take that medicine. Just give up and find another place to work. There are plenty of places looking for doctors.”
“No! I’ll bury my bones here if I have to! I’m going to make sure His Highness the Crown Prince is cured.”
I balled my fists and summoned my will. Jamie furrowed her brow and looked at me as if she was seeing the strangest thing.
“Still, it would be better for you to go back now. He’s still feeling sensitive after collapsing this morning.”
“He collapsed this morning? Suddenly?”
The novel I transmigrated into was written from the first-person perspective of the main character, so I dispensed Helios’s medication based on the information Rienna had received from her predecessors. As Rienna was hailed as a genius physician, her memories were intact, making it easy to formulate the medicine.
“Was it just a fever or something else?” I asked, and Jamie shook her head.
I felt frustrated and let out a sigh. How am I supposed to treat him when I don’t even know the proper symptoms!
The notes left by his previous physicians were very sloppy. In particular, there was no detailed description of Helios’s illness, just that he had collapsed and had a fever. Having had hospital food for a long time, I knew that an accurate diagnosis was essential for proper treatment. However, despite numerous doctors clamoring to offer up their services to the Empire, there wasn’t even a proper record of his diagnosis, let alone his symptoms.
This is a clear indication of how Helios was treated at the royal court.
What is it really…
Even in the novel, Helios’s illness was never mentioned. There were only a few lines of explanation when he meets the female lead and realizes his fate.
At this rate, how can I survive and avoid getting executed?
On the fourth day since transmigrating, I faced a very serious crisis.
