Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 20
Whenever he woke up from the dream, Rienna was always there. She would smile brightly and say, “Did you sleep well? Forget those bad dreams quickly, Your Majesty.”
Helios found deep solace in Rienna’s words, as though she knew every nightmare he ever had.
And he had a premonition.
You will save me in the end, and I will become someone you can’t live without.
And it came true.
But Rienna was dying. It was sad, but it was an opportunity. An opportunity to save her, an opportunity to make her unable to live without him.
I will make sure you live.
Helios’s life now had a purpose.

“…Rienna… in the future…”
I heard a voice filled with concern. It belonged to Helios.
Has the headache disappeared now?
Even in a situation where I couldn’t move a finger due to my raging fever, I worried about him.
“Ah…” A groan involuntarily escaped my throat.
“Doctor, is she going to live, yes? Is she?” A sobbing voice broke out. Jamie had a good voice, that was for sure.
Thanks to that, my ears popped as if I was climbing a mountain, and the sound rushed in all at once. Shuffling footsteps, the clinking of teacups, a nervous sigh… every sound scratched my eardrums. When a person is in pain, they become sensitive to little things. But I didn’t expect to become sensitive to sounds too.
I empathized completely with what Helios once said to me when I was rambling, ‘Please shut your mouth.’
“Quiet, please, just quiet.”
I thought I spoke quite loudly, but nobody seemed to hear me.
“It’s a list of famous people on the continent. Spread the word and bring them here.”
“It will take about a week.”
It was Helios and Vincenzo.
“Three days, no more.”
I could imagine the look on Vincenzo’s face. His mouth would open and his tongue would stick out.
“Enough.”
I struggled to lift my eyelids. My voice was still feeble, but I managed to catch Helios’s attention. I tugged at the hem of his robe as he stood beside my bed. With just that movement, sweat dripped from my entire body.
“Rienna? Are you awake?”
Helios’s face came into full view, and I must have felt it because my vision suddenly became clearer.
“It hurts…so much…How…how long…”
I slowly searched my memory. I told Helios to save me, and he laughed. He excused himself to change, and I went to the bathroom and came out.
“You passed out in front of the bathroom door and I carried you to bed.”
I screamed internally. The noble Prince had moved me to the bed, and I was so overwhelmed with gratitude that I didn’t know what to do with myself.
“Thank you, Your Highness,” I said, my heart clenched tightly in my throat.
Just then, the wind blew. My skin ached as if it were being torn apart. I felt like a minnow that had been hit with salt. It was barely a breeze, but it turned my bed into a thorn bush.
It would have been better to faint. Someone, please knock me out.
I unconsciously raised my hands. I needed something to hold onto. A large, strong hand grabbed me as I floundered, and I clung to it like it was a lifeline.
“It hurts, ugh, it hurts.”
My past experiences in hospitals didn’t help me endure the pain. My vision was blurred with tears. But I could clearly see a huge silhouette enveloping me.
“It’s okay.” The soothing voice sounded so close. “You’ll be fine soon.”
I squeezed his hand. I could feel my unkempt nails digging into his flesh.
Despite the pain, he didn’t let go of my hand. Instead, he held my hand more firmly, using his empty hand to stroke my back. As he did, my heaving breaths gradually steadied. The pain strangely subsided. My tense body sagged like a rubber band that had been pulled taut and then released.
“Rienna!”
Helios firmly supported my body as it slid down.
