Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 31
“Well, I mean…”
I knew he was going to ask at some point, but it was too soon. The circumstances weren’t what I expected either. I thought we’d be in a formal setting, in front of an imprint expert and a doctor.
It was a little embarrassing to show it on the spot, but it was better than showing it here, alone, with my breathing so obvious.
“Rienna, I want to see if my name really appears on your body.”
“You want to see?”
Helios nodded. Then his nose brushed against mine. Somehow, the distance between us seemed to grow closer. I squirmed in embarrassment.
Helios gently nudged my shoulder. “Shouldn’t I see it? It’s my name.”
His request was reasonable. If someone came forward claiming to have my name imprinted on it, I would have asked them to see it right away. I wouldn’t trust them blindly.
But I paused. After all, the location was…
“Rienna, show me.”
When I hesitated, he nudged me again.
It’s right to show it. That’s right…
Helios sensed my hesitation and quickly backed away. As the heavy scent and shadow covering me disappeared, I suddenly felt a chill in my body.
“Is it in a place that’s difficult to show?”
He found the answer. He was, after all, a smart man.
“Are you suggesting we do twenty questions?” he asked.
No, but I didn’t want to give away the location, so I pursed my lips.
Helios was very serious with his questions. “Not the collarbone…”
His gaze wandered over my thin nightgown. “Not your shoulder either.”
His eyes lowered little by little. His gaze was hot, probing for the truth. Even though I was covered by my clothes and a heavy blanket, I felt completely exposed to him.
“Around your navel…?”
I couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“Uh, my thigh.”
He paused as he prowled around my waist. “Your thigh…where?” His voice cracked a bit as he asked insistently.
I bit down hard on my bottom lip. It was silent for a moment, neither of us breathing. Finally, I lifted my skirt slightly.
“Don’t freak out.”
His gaze fell between my legs. “I don’t see it.”
Of course he couldn’t see. Because his name is located in a place that can only be seen when I spread my thighs.
Little by little, I rolled my skirt up until it barely covered my underwear.
Helios cupped his chin and jerked his head away. I was relieved to see I wasn’t the only one embarrassed.
“Hurry…look.”
I spread my knees apart. It felt like a gust of wind was blowing between my legs. He slowly turned his head, his eyes roaming my inner thighs in search of a name.
He gulped. “Why is my name there?”
That’s what I wanted to know.
Helios let out a deep breath, like a man in shock.
“That’s it, you’ve seen it all!” I quickly crossed my legs and lowered my skirt.
I wished he’d say something, but he didn’t. When the silence became unbearable, he pushed himself up and slid down the bed.
“Your Highness?”
“I have to go.”
Oh dear, his back was heaving.
“I remembered there was something I had to do.”
“What is…”
Before I could finish the question, Helios quickly crossed the room.
“…it?”
By that time, he had already opened the door and walked out. Even with the hustle and bustle outside, the door closed without a sound.
Once he was gone, the pressure that had been weighing me down was gone. I felt relaxed, but somehow empty.
And then there was something else.
The tips of his ears were red. Did His Highness have a fever?
Although I submitted my resignation and my own clock was ticking, I still couldn’t stop acting like Helios’s physician.
